I decided I needed another freeview box in the house, so I went for it (eventually). I ordered online a week ago and it turned up on my requested delivery date. Installation was a doddle (You can pay, but install basically required plugging in then waiting about 20mins). The box is well constructed (made by phillips) and came with everything you need (Scart lead, lan cable, etc) it even came with a pair of 200meg powerline adapters which I didnt require (but am thinking might replace my wireless network).
The tv guide is much like sky's but instead of that annoying music you can see and hear the currently selected channel in the background. (Sky's colour scheme is nicer though, this is a bit monochromatic). First on demand football match I'm interested in is on Sunday. Hopefully it'll stream ok. I watched a few on-demand freebies and they streamed fine so here's hoping.
As lansc666 says no Cricket as sky has the licence tied up for a good while yet. There are a few 99p cricket documentaries in the on demand menu, basically profiles of a host of great players from the past. Could fill an empty gap, but certainly not a reason to get it.
