so are we going to learn how to bowl online these days ?

Like seriously, practice. Be an average english player like most, no talent with lots of practice - basic cricket.

Mate, He just wants some help. Calm Down,

Im not a spinner but i have been told a could be a good one, Im tall so i can generate bounce, can turn it a bit and i can drift it in the air, But im yet to find which bowling suits me best.

I would say you want to give a bit of flight with variations in pace, Try not to bowl to flat the whole time but it also depends on the conditions. A few of the best things to do is listen to some comentary when somebody like Monty is bowling as they are always talking about tips. An arm ball is always a good variation to have but flight and pace is also a good variation. This is where you can decieve the batsmen and maybe pick up some stumpings or a catch. I could maybe help with field settings if you like?

Freddi mate, visit Simplycricket.net, theres a few members from these forums on there, along with myself, and if you get a video of your action the experts on the forums will be able to help you greatly. Cracking site.

yeah i agree with holdenator im no spinner but my friend bowls spin and he gets his wickets by spinning it up. by this i mean lobbing it up to the batsmen on a spinners good length. Of course you will get the odd full toss and get whacked for four but that happens you just have to keep at it and you will get sooo much wickets. Just keep practicing.

If you want to try and get some dip. Try and get as tall as you can at the crease and then as you bowl and then bring your arm down quickly and your body should come down and it should help get some dip on the ball.
Dont know if you really know what im talking about.

well the part where you say it's too high to play, if you bowl a short lengt and your a spinner it's gonna created time for the batsman and allow them to just hook or put the ball to the boundary ( if it's a reasonable batsman ) so my tip is don't bowl that short try and make the batsman get to on the front foot and observe the batsman and look for where he is week , if he's week on the back foot then fine bowl a short spinner , lol , but im just saying if it's short their gonna put it away. And varying between bowling a flat one and one with some flight might sometimes be a good thing, .... it just might suprize the batsman if you vary your flight or bowl a flat one.
and my best tip i can give is put some cones in a batting net on a good front foot lenght and line and try and bowl as much as you can in the cones.
( that's just what i know from playing experience , but im not a spinner im mostly a batsman{ that's why i know what kind of spin will trouble me and variation troubles me alot as a batsman } and fast meduim bowler )

Haha, like the Monty action. Maybe add a little hop before the point of delivery for some extra height and bounce.

Also looks like a pace man's action you have there, don't know how you would get spin with that action. Definitely more angle on your arm action, different methods of releasing the ball and more flight on the ball. That action you have their almost looks like an arm ball itself, if you want to be able to bowl successful arm balls, you should try using a little higher arm action and releasing it from the back. But really you should be doing what feels comfortable for you. Practice different arm positions, different lengths, different speeds and different releases. You need to experiment to see what method affects your bowling in what way.

It's kind of difficult learning to bowl towards and across the right-hander, I've tried and I found it really difficult (I'm left handed too), especially when trying to bowl away from the right hander.

Buying a spin king might also help.

For a slow left arm bowler, look no further than Daniel Vettori for the perfect action.

Nah, he can't spin the ball. If you want spin then don't go with Vettori's.

Freddiw try legspin and see if that suits you remember
2 fingers up
2 fingers down
the thumb is away from the action and you should try to stretch it out as most as possible.
