Can somebode explain me these underlined numbers and facts in a cricket game? How the runs work together with wickets? What means last underlined sentence - Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat?

1- Australia - 270/9 (5) - There are 3 formats in the game. One day, T20 and Tests. The scorecard you posted here is One day. Each innings will have 50 overs. So, Australia batted for 50 overs and scored 270 runs and lost 9 wickets.

2- RR 5.40. RR= Run rate. It is calculated as runs_scored/overs_bowled. In Australia's case, 270/50= 5.40

3- England 172-4 (30.3) , RR 5.64. By applying same logic from point 1 and 2, England have scored 172 runs and lost 4 wickets and have batted for 30.3 overs.

4- England require 99 runs with 6 wickets and 117 balls remaining. -
a. You can see the point 3 and observe that England has lost 4 wickets. Each teams have 10 wickets as maximum. So, England has still 6 wickets remaining.
b. Australia has scored 270 runs and England has scored 172 runs so far. England has to score 1 run more than Australia's target to win. So, they still need 99 runs to win.
c. 117 balls remaining- Each over has 6 balls and there are maximum of 50 overs for each team. So, 19.3 overs means 117 balls remaining.

5- Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. - Before the match starts, there will be toss( flipping the coin). Whoever wins the toss , can choose to either bat first or bowl first. In this case, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first.

6- Recent overs 2 1 1 . 1 . -> As it states, it shows how many runs was scored in the recent over. '.' means a dot ball and no run was scored on that ball. '2' means, 2 runs was scored on that ball.
