Ive had limited success using the 2008 editor with ICC 2009, i am able to edit...contract lengths/salaries and whether he is a keeper/part time keeper etc, but when i try to edit their player role.. opener/bowler/batsman/all rounder etc, it blacks out the player in my squad list and says he is...

I think he was made an allrounder after the 8.13 patch.

On the link on the previous post, it states the release date as 25th june, but that is in Australia, so not sure about uk. On the childish things site, Aus has stated the boxed version will be out in early july, but the online version possibly earlier.

I think the 26th is a good bet, it wont be for another couple of weeks....i mean there has been no screenshots/features or anything yet, and the amount of information being released on the official site is minimal.

I got an answer from Chris Child on this subject on the ICC2008 forum, and he acknowledges that there is a problem with ridiculous high run chases and totals on 4th/5th day/seaming/turning pitches, and it will be addressed in future versions or upcoming patches.

Those are interesting tactics Shravi, you say you bowl full all the time, even at batsmen who are strong on the front foot?, and do you change field settings ?

As sureshot says there is no magic formula to bowling, there is a lot to take into consideration, the pitch conditions/weather/batsmans strengths/ the form of your bowlers, look at the ball tracker and if a wicket falls make a note of where the ball pitched, and look at chances like the batman...

I am struggling big time with my first class bowling, i used to bowl at the batmans weakness in ICC 2008 and had success, but it just isnt happening with ICC2008, i have tried different lines/lengths and aggression levels but constantly struggle to bowl sides out even on seaming pitches/cloudy...
