According to what I understood, Alonso had 8 more laps of fuel on board. If he stopped later than MS, he certainly would have had a better chance at winning.

The new tracks are certainly better at allowing overtaking, which is good. But, as I said even on difficult tracks, people are trying to overtake more often. Last year, Suzuka was great. And it is one of the difficult tracks to overtake.

That is correct. There is a commercial agreement that restricts the total number of teams to 12 after 2007. This means if all of the current 11 teams run in 2008, only 1 new team can show up. The FIA will be doing some screening to figure out who the most eligible contender for that spot is.

There is also an additional limitation that they will gain back fuel only for the laps that they run within 107% of their best time. This probably does not matter too much, but at least the cars cannot crawl. But, I do agree that the entire qualifying session should be on low fuel.

I have to agree. I was one of those who was terribly disappointed after playing the full game. So, no more buying any more cricket games till something on this forum convinces me to do otherwise.
