Cool, how are you going to be doing this on ICC but? It doesn't have Aussie Domestic.

Good pres so far anyways:)

It is on ICC 2002, so I can use the editor for it. :)

If I can at some stage get Cricket Coach, I'll probably use that for Twenty20 games.

Great start mate,keep it up:)

Queensland v Tasmania, FR Cup, Brisbane
Birt and Krejza lead Tasmania to victory despite late scare
Cricinfo staff
10 October, 2007

Tasmania 4 for 313 (Birt 155*, Di Venuto 58) beat Queensland 275 all out (Hopes 53, Krejza 4-65, Griffith 3-54) by 38 runs
Scorecard
How they were out

70210.jpg

A career-best 155* from Tasmanian batsman Travis Birt and an expensive but successful spell of 4-65 from former New South Wales spinner Jason Krejza helped Tasmania to a comfortable 38-run win despite a late scare against Queensland in their Ford Ranger Cup match at the 'Gabba. Birt's innings was supported by a 58 from Michael Di Venuto to guide Tasmania to 4-313 before Krejza picked up four wickets to restrict Queensland to 275 despite a barnstorming 47 from 31 balls by wicketkeeper Chris Hartley.

Tasmania got off to a poor start as Tim Paine departed for just two as he edged Andy Bichel to second slip before Birt and Di Venuto added 139 for the 2nd wicket. Di Venuto's dismissal to Noffke allowed Dighton to race to 40 in 26 balls including a massive strike off Chris Simpson which sailed into the crowd. He would fall victim to Kasprowicz who picked up his first wicket in nearly a year after injury crippled his 2006-07 season, limiting him to just nine deliveries.

Birt brought up his second Tasmanian century in just 111 balls and went on to a score off 155* in 144 balls. George Bailey and captain Dan Marsh added helpful runs at the end to push the score above 300. James Hopes was the best of the bowlers with 1-45 in his ten overs whilst Bichel (1-60), Simpson (0-57) and Noffke (1-62) were all expensive.

Hopes' form with the ball followed with the bat as he made a helpful 53 to set Queensland off to a rollicking start despite the fall of Jimmy Maher early for 19. However, Queensland's batsmen failed to build much momentum after the dismissal of Hopes to Luke Butterworth as Jason Krejza snared three wickets in their middle order - including Clinton Perren for 40 and Michael Buchanan fo a duck in successive deliveries. Simpson and Bichel provided some late order resistance, but it was Hartley who put the pressure on Tasmania with an entertaining innings including an awesome shot which sent Jason Krejza's full toss out of the 'Gabba.

However, Adam Griffith came back from a poor start to claim three wickets - including Hartley - to complete the Tasmanian victory while Ben Hilfenhaus remained the pick of the bowlers after picking up 1-39 in an economical spell in a match which saw nearly 600 runs scored.

How they were out

An elegant 83 from veteran Martin Love and a stylish 78* by James Hopes put Queensland in a dominant position after a sluggish start in the opening day of the Pura Cup season at the Gabba. After openers Jimmy Maher and Ryan Broad struggled early as Ben Hilfenhaus and Brendan Drew had the ball moving prodigiously; Love and Hopes made it look easy as the Tasmanian attack toiled against a strong middle order.

Maher took a risk by electing to bat on a green Gabba wicket and he and his partner Ryan Broad worked hard against the new ball to combine for a 60-run stand which last 25 overs. Broad eventually fell for a slow 16 to Drew, but it allowed Love to make his way to the wicket and make a confident start. He would, however, lose his captain one short of a half-century as Maher was well beaten by an on-song Hilfenhaus who was looking to stake his claim for the first test against Sri Lanka.

Tasmania continued their good start as Clinton Perren became former West Australian bowler Tim Macdonald's first victim for Tasmania as he attempted to lift the run rate with an unimpressive swipe outside off-stump to reduce Queensland to 3-111. But Perren's dismissal paved the way for a 94-run stand between Love and Craig Philipson who was assured against the second stringers Macdonald, Luke Butterworth and Xavier Doherty. Philipson's dismissal for fifty to Butterworth came as a surprise as neither batsman looked like getting out bar a lifeline on 40 for Philipson as Sean Clingeleffer dropped a simple catch in the outfield from Hilfenhaus' bowling; Clingeleffer obviously struggling without his gloves.

Hopes and Love combined for just 35 before Love finally departed after a great innings to Xavier Doherty to give every bowler a single wicket for their first day. Hopes and keeper Chris Hartley remain unbeaten at stumps after a 93-run stand which sees Hopes within 22 runs of his fifth first-class century.

Craig Philipson c Marsh b Butterworth 50 (4 for 205)

Vintage Langer punishes lacking attack

Western Australia 246 for 2 (Langer 105*, North 70, Ronchi 51) beat New South Wales 245 for 7 (Cowan 107, Dorey 4-25) by 8 wickets
Scorecard

JL.jpg

A stunning century from former Australian opener Justin Langer and a brilliant 4-25 from Brett Dorey saw Australia topple New South Wales in style to begin their Ford Ranger Cup campaign off with a bang at the WACA. Langer's century came in just 94 balls - including nineteen in one Moises Henriques over - as Australia chased down the New South Wales target of 246 with six overs to spare.

It could have been much worse for New South Wales as they collapsed to 4-60 in 18 overs after winning the toss as Brett Dorey picked up three early wickets, including the big wickets of Phil Jaques (17) and captain Simon Katich (2). However, a 106-run stand between the opener Ed Cowan and youngster Peter Forrest helped set up a decent total on a good batting wicket for New South Wales; Cowan starring with his second Ford Ranger Cup century as he made a brave 107 in 128 balls.

Cowan could have been dismissed agonisingly close to his century as WA captain Marcus North dropped a simple catch at point with Cowan on 94 and also dropped a similar chance off wicketkeeper Daniel Smith. Smith, who was in the side for Brad Haddin playing in the one day series in India, impressed alongside bowler Doug Bollinger after Cowan fell to Dorey and both Forrest and Moises Henriques to Steve Magoffin. Smith finished up unbeaten on 34 whilst Bollinger posted a helpful 22*.

West Australian opener Luke Ronchi set about getting WA off to a quick start as he dominated his partnership with captain Marcus North to post 51 in just 37 balls. The New South Wales attack struggled without Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken and Stuart Clark who are touring India - Matthew Nicholson's five overs staged over two spells and going for a hefty 0-46. North looked comfortable and edged towards fifty in 90 balls whilst Justin Langer cruised along to his half-century in 51 deliveries.

North would depart for 70 to the pick of the bowlers Nathan Hauritz as he was given out LBW whilst Langer took 19 off Henriques' last over to ruin his figures and post his seventh domestic one-day century in just 90 deliveries as he drove Australia home. His partnership of 56 with North was dominated by the centurion as he contributed 45 to the total.

Aaron O'Brien b Dorey 4 (3 for 40)
A touch of swing back in is too good for the O'Brien defensive shot and canons into off-stump

Dominic Thorely b Edmondson (4 for 64)
Searing and swinging yorker beats Thornely for pace and shatters the stumps

Peter Forrest c & b Magoffin 32 (5 for 170)
Backs away and hammers a low full-toss down the ground only for Magoffin to stick out his hand and take a stunning catch

Moises Henriques b Magoffin 4 (6 for 176)
Tries a cheeky flick down the leg-side but misses it and loses his leg-stump

Ed Cowan c Ronchi b Dorey 107 (7 for 194))

Nice to see you with another story, hope you finish the Ashes one as well.

So far some great games! Birt was awesome in the FR cup and Queensland produced a good effort to try and cahse down that score. Queensland well on top on the Pura cup match, they should aim for 500. Some brillaint knocks for WA against NSW.

I am thinking of getting ICC 02 on amazon to try out a story like this! Great work :clap

How they were out

hartley.jpg

Chris Hartley's second first class century and some early wickets from Ashely Noffke was enough to put Queensland in a commanding position in their quest for first innings points on day two of the Pura Cup match against Tasmania at the Gabba. Hartley's 115 included eleven boundaries as he pushed the Queensland total past 450 whilst Noffke snared 3-68 to have Tasmania teetering at 4-196 at stumps.

James Hopes only added eleven to his overnight total before he top-edged a well directed short ball from Ben Hilfenhaus for 89. Hilfenhaus was the pick of the Tasmanian bowlers as he picked up 4-79 in 33.5 overs whilst his fellow bowlers - namely Brendan Drew - struggled against the Hartley onslaught. Hartley and the tail combined well despite Hilfenhaus also snaring Andy Bichel for a duck, he and leg-spinner Daniel Doran adding 38 for the eighth wicket before Doran was dismissed by Tim Macdonald. Hartley's fine innings ended as Hilfenhaus got another deserved wicket to dismiss the Queenslanders for an imposing 473.

Needing a good start, Tasmania were in real trouble early as both Ashley Noffke knocked over Tim Paine (5) and found the outside edge of Travis Birt (2) to have Tasmania struggling at 2 down for just 17. George Bailey and Michael Di Venuto set about resurrecting the Tigers' innings as they added 61 for the third wicket before Di Venuto departed to Hopes for a half-century. However Bailey and captain Dan Marsh succeeded in placing Tasmania in a better position than they were after six overs as they combined for a 63-run partnership before Noffke again struck to dismiss Bailey. Marsh looked confident on his way to an unbeaten half-century at stumps whilst Sean Clingeleffer was positive on his way to 31* at stumps.

Queensland 473 all out lead Tasmania 292 all out (Marsh 58, Clingeleffer 57, Noffke 5-98) and 3 for 172 (Di Venuto 58, Doran 2-42) by 9 runs

How they were out

noffers.jpg

Ashley Noffke's 12th first class five wicket haul was enough to make Tasmania follow on as they were bundled out for 292 in the 3rd day of the Pura Cup contest at the Gabba. Noffke added two wickets to his overnight total to finish with 5-98 whilst leg-spinner Daniel Doran picked up two vital wickets in the Tasmanian second innings to have them at 172-3 and trailing by nine runs.

Captain Dan Marsh failed to continue with his start yesterday evening as Jimmy Maher took his third catch of the innings at first slip as Marsh edged a good length delivery from veteran Andy Bichel. However the biggest applause was kept for Michael Kasprowicz who picked up Sean Clingeleffer for 57 with a smart return catch to take his first Pura Cup wicket in a year. The Tasmanian lower order provided some resistance as they tried desperately to avoid the follow on, but they only succeeded in frustrating the Queenslanders as opposed to scoring many runs. Luke Butterworth (28) became Hopes' second victim whilst Noffke picked up Xavier Doherty (17) and Brendan Drew (6) to complete his five-wicket haul.

With the follow on enforced by Jimmy Maher, the Tasmanian opening pair looked more confident on a deck which had lost some of its early juice. Tim Paine and Micael Di Venuto added 73 for the opening stand before Paine again lost his off-stump as he was well beaten by an inswinging ball from all-rounder James Hopes. Travis Birt failed to reciprocate his great form in the Ford Ranger Cup where he scored an unbeaten 155 as he was dismissed in single figures for the second time; Daniel Doran picking up the left-hander as he extracted some turn from the deck which shot off his glove and to Hopes in close. Di Venuto fell in a similar fashion for 58 as Doran took his inside edge and Hopes took a simple catch. Some late resistance from Marsh (36*) and George Bailey (40*) gives Tasmania their only real hope of getting a result out of the match as it heads into the final day.

How they were out

Tasmania 1st innings

Daniel Marsh c Maher b Bichel 58 (5 for 218)
Good length delivery angling across from Marsh is edged for a regulation catch at slip

Sean Clingeleffer c & b Kasprowicz 57 (6 for 240)
Attempted drive mistimed back to Kasprowicz who takes a good reflex catch

Luke Butterworth b Hopes 28 (7 for 277)
Good late swing back in sails past the inside edge and hits middle-and-off

Xavier Doherty b Noffke 17 (8 for 282)
Drags on from outside off after losing patience after a frustrating knock

Brendan Drew lbw b Noffke 6 (9 for 287)
Plants his front foot in front of middle and the ball hits him straight in front

Tim Macdonald c Hopes b Bichel 5 (292 all out)
Slogs it straight up in the air and Hopes takes it easily

Tasmania 2nd innings

Tim Paine b Hopes 30 (1 for 73)
Big inswing beats the inside edge as Paine again loses off-stump

Travis Birt c Hopes b Doran 2 (2 for 78)
Ball turns back in and bounces to fly off the glove to Hopes at a close catching position

Michael Di Venuto c Hopes b Doran 58 (3 for 97)
Similar dismissal to Birt as this one turns back in and this time takes the inside edge before zipping off to Hopes

South Australia 6 for 336 (Cosgrove 127, Adcock 63, Lewis 2-58) lead Victoria by 336 runs

68164.jpg

South Australian bad boy Mark Cosgrove returned to form in stunning style with a brilliant century to open a young South Australian side's season as a he pummeled an undisciplined Victorian attack on the first day at Adelaide Oval. The Victorian bowlers bowled a total of 12 no-balls and six wides to gift the South Australians runs as Cosgrove played a mature knock alongside new captain Nathan Adcock who impressed with a composed 63.

Winning his first toss, Adcock chose to bat with the opening pair consisting of Jason Borgas and Daniel Harris with former Victorian opener Matthew Elliott to come in at first drop. The two openers looked solid as they combined for a 70-run opening stand with Harris doing most of the scoring as Borgas continued his good form from last year as he saw off the new ball with ease. The Victorians obviously looked troubled without key bowler Shane Harwood who will be out until at least 2008 with a dislocated shoulder; Allan Wise struggling to find his rhythm in his first game or Victoria since the 2005-06 season.

Harris departed to 35-year old leg-spinner Bryce McGain as the pitch showed early signs of turn which will excite Cullen Bailey whilst Matthew Elliott was surprised with a wrong'un from McGain which dismissed him LBW for just 13 to bring Cosgrove to the crease. Borgas' patient innings of 47 in 151 deliveries finally ended at the hands of Mick Lewis while Callum Ferguson also went to the former Australian bowler.

However the arrival of the new captain Adcock seemed to spur Cosgrove on from a sluggish start as the big man cut an imposing figure at the crease by punishing all bowlers - but in particular Clinton McKay and Andrew McDonald who struggled to find a good length to the left-hander. Adcock was also untroubled on a flat deck as he passed fifty but it was Cogsrove who stole the show as he hit Cameron White for a boundary through mid-wicket to bring up his eighth first-class century.

The South Australians showed no trouble in covering for the absence of former captain Darren Lehmann a fifth wicket partnership of 165 was finally ended by part-time off-spinner David Hussey who managed to turn a ball enough to bowl Adcock for 63. However the big blow came as Allan Wise picked up Cosgrove with the seventh last ball of the day with a beautiful inswinger which knocked back his middle-stump to end a great innings on 127.

New South Wales 6 for 351 (Forrest 122, Thornely 122) lead Western Australia by 351 runs
Scorecard

DT.jpg

Centuries to New South Wales batsmen Dominic Thornely and Peter Forrest were enough to save the Blues from a poor start as they took control of day one against Western Australia at the WACA. Both men finished on 122 after New South Wales slumped to 3-66 early before the two piled on a 208-run stand for the fourth wicket to have the Blues in control at 6-351 at stumps.

Brett Dorey and Ben Edmondson combined brilliantly with the new ball as Dorey's first spell produced figures of 8-4-8-0 whilst Edmondson took advantage of the pressure the big-man put on the top order to pick up Ed Cowan attempting to pull for just ten. A painstaking innings of 2 off 29 deliveries from New South Wales captain finally went as Edmondson knocked over his off-stump, whilst David Bandy picked up the big wicket of Phil Jaques for 26 as he took advantage of the pressure Steve Magoffin built from the other end.

But Jaques' dismissal paved the way for the huge stand between Thornely and Forrest - Thornely bringing up his eighth first class century whilst Forrest moved past his maiden first class ton. Thornely finally departed after 293 minutes as he knicked Dorey to wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi whilst it was Magoffin who managed to dislodge Forrest leg-before on the same score as Thornely. The New South Welshman lost an unnecessary wicket within four overs of stumps as left-arm orthadox spinner Aaron Heal picked up the wicket of Aaron O'Brien for 25 as he attempted to cut a long-hop; only to find Justin Langer at backward point.
