Yeah. What I'll do is post screenies of the squads (the 10 test squads) and their ODI averages. Consider the previews as "What will the squads be, who will play?" talk, in a way. It makes sure you know who the best players in 2011 are, anyway. The ODI World XI will get a change, Afridi bizzarely didn't get selected originally by Pakistan, but has now, so he should come in for Oram in the World XI. Will show you the new squads soon. :)

SRI LANKA DESTROY UAE

Sri Lanka easily beat the United Arab Emirates in the first match of the 2011 World Cup. The UAE captain Arshad Ali won the toss and chose to bat first, but after coming in at three, he left the field in the fourteenth over, with the score at 33/4, and the Emirates on the back foot.

The lower order provided slow resistance against the Sri Lankan bowlers, with Fahad al Hashmi digging in for 29 unbeaten runs from number eight, off 63 balls. However, the Sri Lankan bowlers were just too good and the UAE were bowled out for 116.

PAKISTAN SQUEEZE PAST KENYAN WARRIORS

Pakistan beat Kenya in a last over thriller in Rawalpindi in the second game of the Cricket World Cup. Kenyan captain Steve Tikolo won the toss and elected to bat first, and his opening batsmen - Collins Obuya and Kennedy Hall - saw off the opening bowling of Umar Gul and Rao Anjum, before Obuya was removed for a quick 30 by Samiullah Khan, an easy edge to Afridi in the slips. This brought the Kenyan hero to the crease though, and around Hall's disciplined 66, and Tikolo scored 73 off 74 balls, a fantastic innings from the captain, and allthough Shahid Afridi bowled him while Tikolo tried to hit the leggie out the park, Tikolo had set the platform for the lower order hitters, and Kenya finished their 50 overs on 253 for 7.

Steve Tikolo's fantastic innings set Kenya up with a good total to defend

The Pakistani chase didn't start well, as Imran Farhat was removed with the fourth ball of the innings, for a duck by seamer Peter Ongondo. However, this was the end of the Kenyan fun, as Umar and Younis Khan piled on 175 for the second wicket, only ending when Nik Bunter got Umar caught at slip, but Sufyan Munir, on his ODI debut, took over from Umar, and it looked like - at the start of the 44th over - Pakistan would win easily, needing just 34 to win. Slow left armer Mohammed Sheikh bowled a brilliant maiden, decieving the batsmen, and making it 34 needed off 30 balls. Josephat Ababu then conceded 9 off over 45, making 25 needed off 24 balls, but Sheikh raised the bar again, just two runs being conceded off his last over. Ababu conceded 5 off over 47, leaving. 18 needed off the final 18 balls. Younis Khan hit Nik Bunter for 4 off the first ball, but following a dot ball, he removed Khan's middle stump with a fantastic yorker, before tricking a tiny edge out of Fawad Alam, caught by Ouma, the wicket keeper. Only one run escaped from the rest of the over, and 13 were needed off twelve balls, but with a new batsman at the crease.

Ababu conceded seven off his, including an edge that didn't quite carry to the keeper, and so, the batsmen needed 6 to win, or 5 to tie, off the over from Nik Bunter...

BALL ONE - Bunter to Munir
Pushed past the dive of Kennedy Hall, boundary sweeper throws in. One run taken. 5 needed off 5.

BALL TWO - Bunter to Akmal

Yorker dug out by Akmal, but straight into the ground! Bunter leaps to his left and grabs the ball. Dot ball! 5 needed off 4.

BALL THREE - Bunter to Akmal

Bunter tried to swing it, to imitate his dismissal of Alam, but Akmal flicked it away for a quick two runs. 3 needed off 3.

BALL FOUR - Bunter to Akmal

The shock bouncer is flicked high, but Tikolo isn't going to quite get there, and Akmal and Munir manage to return for the second run! Scores level, 2 balls to go!

BALL FIVE - Bunter to Akmal

Pitched up, and pushed past the ring, for one run, and Pakistan win! A very, very brave effort from the Kenyans, but it was just not enough!

ENGLAND OUTBOWL ZIMBABWE

England beat Zimbabwe in their opening match of the World Cup at the Feroz Shah Stadium, Delhi. Zimbabwean captain Tatenda Taibu won the toss and chose to field first, but was hit back by openers Xavier Morgan and Mark Pettini. They put on 72 for the first wicket, before Pettini was caught in the covers, and then soon after Pietersen fell for a duck, a small edge to keeper Taibu. This brought Ian Bell to the crease, and he also combined well with Morgan, adding 76 more for the third wicket, before Morgan was bowled by Justice Chibhabha (who had also removed Pettini and Pietersen in a good opening spell). Kev Ainscow went for 13, and Bell fell soon after, both bowled by Ewing. Seam bowler Michael Cranshaw was the last man to go for 12.

Ian Bell scored 57 off 69 balls with 9 fours.

The Zimbaweans started off batting sensibly, and when Sean Williams and Tatenda Taibu came together, it looked as if England's total of 229/6 may have been under threat. But Williams and Taibu fell close together, and Zimbabwe collapsed, losing their last 7 wickets for 27 runs, falling from 105 for 3 to 132 all out.

BANGLADESH SOUNDLY BEATEN BY WINDIES

Bangladesh were beaten by the West Indies in the first match in Dhaka at the World Cup. Bangladesh were expertly restricted by the West Indian bowlers, prime examples being the two openers, Shahriar Nafees, who scored 3 off 27 balls, and Mehrab Hossain, who scored 39 off 86. Hussein Isar and Mushfiqur Rahman also reached 30, but Bangladesh made 165 for 9 off their allocated 50 overs.

Darren Sammy bowled 10 overs and took 2 for 18.

Darren Sammy and Jerome Taylor took 2 wickets each at the top of the innings. Ryan Hinds' left arm spin claimed 4 wickets.

In reply, Chris Gayle blitzed the Bangladeshi bowlers, batting aggresively while Phil Tosh and Ryan Hinds concentrating on keeping their wicket, and batting maturely. Gayle couldn't reach the boundary though, with the scores level, and ended on 99*.
