Hi guys, do you think that the AI on the upcoming BLIC 2007 or gameplay will be better or close to Cricket 2005? Or will it be just the usual hit out or slogging like BLIC 2005? Will there be stumpings and advance down the wicket?

I think that advancing has been confirmed already and stumpings is possible and you would think they would have changed the A.I. since it was pretty easy and the game felt messy.

yea esp. the field settings...they never used to have a fine leg and shane warned used to bowl like 6 googlies in a row in 2005! Also no 3rd man as well!

Why Cricketman93? I am almost entirely convinced they will at the very least tweak the existing one. Afterall, what good would an untweaked version of the Ai from the previous game be with the new addition of down the wicket and stumpings? If they didn't update it, then the computer players wouldn't ever use the new features. So basically, yes, they will almost certainly have added to the Ai, and we can hope that they have improved it too :)

If they didn't change it at all then they don't deserve to even have the game on the shelves. They definately changed it. No doubt.

they have changed the AI and its supposed to be very good now, they computer reacts to what the situation is eg. if they need to get lots of runs they will up their run rate

Maybe being a tad harsh towards Ea there, afterall most people asked this year for them work on the gameplay and bugs and ignore the graphics. We know for certain that they certainly followed one of those requests :p

I don't know though, because EA hasn't changed it one bit...but Codies has proved to be more concumer listsening then EA. So lets hope they tweak it.

Why, i dunno, its in my gut ;)

My point was that since they have changed one or two of the core gameplay mechanics they must have surely changed the AI to accompany that? Otherwise the computer players would never ever effect a stumping or come down the wicket with their batsman. Somehow I don't see this being the case, and since they have to change the Ai in that respect, we can at the least hope they have tweaked some of the previous Ai patterns.

Just common sense really...

I bow to your great "commen sense" :hpraise

Lol i was just saying what i thought... I hope they change the AI though.

Surely this is going to be best cricket game i believe because they have the online mode and their is 360 batting control so this will surely be the best .

lol Im a sceptic by nature and as a good example look at the big buzz made by the whole world regarding the PS3 and in the end it was just a big bunch of hot air because it isnt living up to expectations as theres a lot of things that were promised and guaranteed but never seen through....

...to make a long story short, we as cricket fans know probably better than most other fans of sporting games what it feels like to be disappointed so until i dont at least play the demo of the game and check it out i wont read too much into how "amazing" this game will be. It happens all the time, people expect the best and get failed miserably and they get pissed off when the game isnt perfect - and it will happen again, it's happened with cricket 2007....no surprises there.

I guess all we can do is hope that for once we get a game where you spend time playing and enjoying the game and not the majority of the time getting upset at how many bugs it has.
