You said the player is an Indian with a test batting average of above 95.

No Indian batsman has an average near that.

Therefore this player does not exist.

The only Ranjit Singh I can find played for Malaysia in the 1982 ICC Trophy. How should it be spelt?

In any case it can't be anyone.

Read this next sentence very carefully:

NO INDIAN BATSMAN AVERAGES OVER 95, THEREFORE THIS QUESTION HAS NO ANSWER!!!!

No. He didn't mean that one.He was talking about the Ranjit Singh who actually played for England(domestic cricket). He is said to be one of the master's of the game and has been described by Nevill Curdus (not sure of the spelling)as a magicean .In one of is writings he described Ranjit Singh's batting as a mid-summer night's dream. He played during the early nineteen hundreds (and may be late 1800s) :D

Neville Cardus wouldn't be writng about a player from the early 90s! :D

Sure you're not thinking about Ranjitsi (not sure of the spelling), the legend who played for England in the late 19th century...... in any case this question has no answer.
