Do you see thousands of Muslims on the street and being televised worldwide villfying Al-Qaeda and like minded terrorist organisations and sending the message to the Muslim Community Worldwide that these people are a disease to their faith???..........No you don't.
I've been in correspondence with the Muslim Council of Britain suggesting that they could organise such a march/protest to send out a message to the world, but they're not interested. It would relieve the tension and any hostility allegedly directed at British Muslims immediately and at the same time send a message to fellow Muslims not to commit atrocities.
Why are they so reluctant to alienate the terrorists???

Yesterday John Reid, the home secratary gives a speech saying how freedoms may have to be restricted in the fight against terrorism. Today, there's a foiled terror attack, giving us an oppurtunity to use the new terror alert level thing. What a coincidence.

Put them in solitary confinement till their ticker stops tocking.
True, but there is an element of "the boy who cried wolf" over all these foiled terrorist attacks. There's been so many of them, and they often happen just after the government announces some new anti-terrorism policy. This one does actually seem real, but I'm getting a little puzzled about why they find out about things like this, but not about things like 7/7, 9/11, etc....Ritwik said:Weren't you the guy who always frowned heavily on conspiracy theories ?
And doing that would make us as bad as the terrorists.themuel1 said:Whatever happens there will always be people to take over from them. All of there human rights (if there found guilty) should be removed and they should be put in a prison and allowed to be beaten by the prisoners (like rapists reportedly are...etc). I'm in favour of executions (if proven beond doubt for hanus crimes) i.e. plotting to blow up a plane or killing a police officer.

We used to be told that we shouldn't let terrorists force us to change our way of life, now we're being told that we must change our way of life as part of the fight against terrorism. We shouldn't let the government continue to erode our freedoms in this fight, or we risk drifting to a quasi-facist state.

I hope the police have got it right and have actually stopped a real plot instead of wasting their time relying on false intelligence!
