Air Terror Bid Foiled in England

I think we can all agree that the world is pretty screwed up right now.

For all the time people disagree on big issues (Not those Big Issues :D) the world will always have it's problems, it's part of life.

Andrew, I don't know whether you saw something on BBC Breakfast this morning but they did a test with some bottles and put them through the current X-Ray machines (One bottle had explosive liquid in) and it couldn't tell which one it was.

They tested them on a machine that's being trialled and it spotted the explosive liquid straight away.

There may be very little history of people using explosives in a baby bottle, but there was also no evidence of people flying planes into buildings before 9/11.

It wouldn't bother me.

There is a bit of difference between the IRA and the Muslim Extremists, as the IRA (as I know) didn't do suicide bombings and their tactics are different on the whole.

Its times like this when there may or may not have been a terrorist plot and you dont no, and you dont no whether there will be more that will actually work that its time to call Mr T to solve all our problems.

But he ain't gettin' on no plane sucka.
maybe we could get him to drink a nice glass of milk laced with a sedative. Oh no wait its been conviscated by security. Damn you were right andrew ;)

Oh and to quote Trey Parker "I would never kill anyone, unless they ****ed me off"

You made a good point there that you cant bring milk onto a plane without fuss. MILK! The most wholesome thing in the world!

My cousins (from America) once brought a pizza onto a plane to get over the horrid airplane food, but now I bet there will be a massive fuss if someone would do that because...they might food poison people next to them

Its become riduculous suspicion of everyone now

Airplane food isnt that bad, my advise is to get blind drunk in the airport lounge before flying, that way you'll eat anything. Mind you get slightly less drunk than David Hasslehoff did recently at Heathrow ;)

Im 14 with kinda strict Sikh parents. I aint getting drunk any time soon (as far as they know ;) ;)

Then you'll have to suffer airline food sober, I feel for you ;)

Well on the last flight (the wednesday before the terror plot) I had a can of caffene free diet coke (GRRRRRRRRRRR) from the cousins in New Orleans (how topical can you get) which was barable.

This is well worth a read: http://www.craigmurray.co.uk/archives/2006/08/the_uk_terror_p.html

Interesting to note that none of the alleged terrorists had made a bomb. None had a plane ticket! Some didn't even have passports!

This article is interesting. But it seems to imply that certain terrorist attacks have not been committed by the government. Which ones would you say these are?

Thought-provoking article there. Shame we'll never know whether its true. My thoughts are reading that are mixed, (1) I don't want to instantly go along with a view like that, just in case it is completely proved wrong, then I'll look like a fool of myself (well I do anyway ;) ) but (2) I feel skeptical about most of the stuff the government says anyway.

Yeah, on China Eastern Airlines (which I went on recently), food was pretty damn good. So much better than, say, American Airlines.

I wouldn't say that any terrorist attack has been carried out by the government. I'm just referring people to the article as it may interest them. It doesn't mean I agree with everything in it! Although the fact that some of the alleged terrorists would not even have been able to get on a trans-atlantic plane is a little suspicous is it not?
