All the world's a stage

That actually reads pretty well. I haven't googled it but I trust you weren't tempted to copy/paste something off another site...
I'm not saying you did just observing that the language and style in the final piece is quite dis-similar to what you inititally wrote.

Okay, it's fairly obvious that this'll have something to do with the famous extract from the William Shakespeare play As you like it. The extract is called All the world's a stage. Now, I've been ask by my teacher to over the weekend write up an interpretation of these lines. And to be perfectly honest I'm totally stumped on this one. So I'm taking a fairly weak way out and seeing if I can get some help off the members here on Planet Cricket. The sooner I get this done the more time I have to get The From The Pavilion: Grand Tournament set up as well.

It's pretty easy to interpret, I think - it's basically just showing the stages of each person's life.. and the different things that they are meant for as they age through the years..

Spot on.

I have performed this show (I was Silvius), so I'll try to help you out.

Edit: Appears someone's beaten me to it: the OP! Spinksy is right, that's exactly what the speech was about. :)

A couple of other 'Shakespearianisms' that might help people:

'Doom' means: Judgement.
'I Doubt' means 'I fear'.
'Wherefore art thou Romeo' means 'why are you Romeo', not 'where are you'.
'An't like your lordship' means 'if it please your lordship' (or similar). If you see 'and' in a context that doesn't seem to make sense, chances are it means 'if'.

I didn't copy, no. This sounds rather extreme but I did around 20 drafts. I've been awake since 4 a.m.

I did 2 and 1/3 drafts for my A-level coursework. Even then I was surprised by my diligence.
