Chelsea after Hiddink... The best team in the world look for another manager and a fresh start

One of the biggest clubs in the world suffered from strings of defeat in the 2009 season when Luiz Felipe Scolari one of the best coaches in the world took over from Avram Grant. Everyone thought that this chelsea team was going to be the best team in the world with a world class coach and and addition of a star player in the form of Deco . But things did not go according to plan . A string of defeats led to the sacking of Scolari .

Meanwhile Guss Hiddink one of the best coaches in the world was assigned the job to manage chelsea till the end of the season . Hiddink had previously led teams like Australia and South Korea to huge levels at the world stage.

The season got over and chelsea finished third behind Manchester United and Liverpool

Hiddink quit as his contract came to an end and thus the media started speculating who the next coach of the mighty blues would be .

Bernd Schuster - Coach of Real Madrid in the last season , was sacked even after winning the spanish league . Would he help chelsea win the league again after 3 years?

Carlo Ancelotti - Much speculations are surrounding the AC Milan coach . He is supposed to be a front runner to the chelsea job . A champions league winner himself . Can he finally put an end to chelsea 's Jinx at the champions league??

Frank Riijkard - an Ajax and AC Milan player and a former coach of Barca .. he is a mastermind and has helped barca to Champions league title in 2006

Gianfranco Zola - A fan favourite and along with steve clarke is capable of ushering a new era at chelsea

Jurgen Klinnsman - After a successful run at the Euros he was appointed as the new Bayern Munich coach .. But a bad season let to the sack !. A former Tottenham player,he has the knowledge of the english game . So will he be the one ?

He was sacked by Ajax after they failed to qualify for Europe. One of the best footballers of all time . Would he be the one ???

Riijkard Appointed as Chelsea coach
After Much speculations about the club 's manager ,the club s website confirmed yesterday that Frank Riijkard would be the manager of chelsea. He was given a contract of 5 years.His contract would commence immediately. The club would like to congratulate him on his appointment and hopes that he continues the tradition of Chelsea FC
