Animation text help plz

well i've tried animating my text on one of my sigs and i got to the part where i got my two layers and i got the text to create a flash effect , but what do i do next , how do i save it , can anyone give me some tips and as to what file type i should save it????

I think you have to save it in .gif format in order for the animation to work.

press ctrl + shift + S and then as GIF file and then ok

still not working ....
can someone plz explain to me step by step
well here's what i did
1. ok i created and avatar
2. Place text on the avatar second layer
3. opened animation box
4. made a first layer in animation box without text ( the eye thing )
5. made second layer with text ( eye thing )
6. set each layer to 1 second
7. pressed the play button

what do i do now how to i keep the animation?????

then go to file .....
in file there is save optimized as ...
and then a box will open....
than select the location and the type of the file as GIF...
then say Save or Ok....

nope still can't get it
i get the animation working but once i save it as a GIF and when i upload it it doesn't work anymore???

hey animation doesnt work in photoshop i think...it works only in imageready....
its becoz i think i have only CS

Animation will not work in Photoshop its works in Image ready

I don't use CS3

Goto File -> Save for Web

Than you change the thing under 'presets' to 'GIF'.
