We've hit 40,000 members.

Another big step for us in our fast growth as a site. On average we tend to get a new member sign up every half an hour, which I think is mightily impressive. The next 7 months of 2009 is set to be big for us.

Ashes
T20 World Cup
New games to be released.

Congrats PC. I just showed my brother 40000 members are registered with PC and he cries for members on his site.

Congratulations, Planetcricket. Now we just need the members that sign to get a few posts at the least. There are wayyy too many people that have 0 posts.

Yeah, I think there are way too many random people who just sign up so that they can maybe download stuff form the Cricket 07 Downloads forum.

Nevertheless Well Done Planetcricket :thumbs :banana2

Those spambots are quite determined to sell their wow gold, fake nikes and cheap medication.

I love planet cricket it is the great website of the world :banana2:banana2:banana2

Congratulations to Planet cricket, really a very fast moving websites with quality in it!

carry on! :cheers

There is a list of IP address at Stop Forum Spam - Forum Banlist and also at vBulletin - Instant Community. Why don't you just ban those IP address or probably ban the XRumer's user agent? They probably be using XRumer.

Do you think XRumer uses "SpamBot 5.02" as the user agent? Banning IP addresses, captcha's etc are inconvienient ways to stop spam bots. The best solution is to modify the signup page such that the bots fail to identify it as a regular vBulletin signup page.

I think we do a pretty good job with spambots. How many messages do you actually see make it onto the boards?
As for 40k members, go us.

Yeah, two ways to solve any problem - work smart or work hard. You guys probably don't get 100's of spam messages per day so it doesn't really matter.
More impressive than having 40k registered members is having 10k active members. 1/4th out of the total registered members are active which is a impressive stat.
