Anyone interested in building a fixtures editor with me?

I've got the fixtures file mostly decoded - but it's an absolute PITA to edit by hand and I haven't the skill to build an editor.

It'd be great to be able to edit the fixtures list. I'd like to give each country a minimum of 3 x 3 Test series per annum, with 4 or 5 Tests for "great rivalries". I'd also like to eliminate the 7-match ODI tour from the game entirely, experiment with the 3x3x3 Tour format, and give NZ/ZIM/BAN/PAK heaps more Tests to play.

I actually think this is the greatest untapped potential in ICC. Because it feels so realistic, you could get an intuitive sense of what different sorts of scheduling would feel like. IMO the ICC should be using software of this kind to test out different scheduling options, figuring out what's going to create the most engagement for casual fans and the greatest drama for true fans.

Any takers?

Wouldn't you be better off using Cricket Coach 11 which already has a (albeit buggy) fixtures editor built in. I know some people are biased against CC (and some have good reason), but for your purposes the major criticisms of it might not be relevant.

ICC has much better game engine though. I can't play more than 1 season of CC before getting bored.

I am ready to help you. I will do the basic coding if needed. Tell me what is needed.
