Ashes 2009 does not work on new computer

I just bought a new laptop:

1.7ghz core 2 duo
4gb ddr3
Geforce G210M 512mb
Windows 7

I am trying to run Ashes 2009 on it, but whenever I click the ICON to launch the game, it gets stuck and it shows:

"Kinora Direct3d9 Windows" in my taskbar and CPU load is high. It gets stuck so I have to close it from the Taskbar.

On the previous computer it ran fine, but I had windows vista.

Can someone please tell me whats wrong?

Give it a try on Windows Xp. I'm pretty sure, its gonna work fine

Well right now I have only Windows 7....

I had a very similar problem when I tried it on windows 7. The I had to install it on windows XP to get it work.

I just tried Ashes 2009 demo and it is working fine on Windows 7...so why not full version?

I'm Not sure, its something related to game optimization I guess.

Try running in compatiable mode for Windows XP, right click, properties, there should be an option.
