Also who were the best averaging batsmen and bowlers in county cricket under the age of 23? I know I could look but I'm lazy and I was wondering just how much talent there is at Englands disposal.

Do you mean in the history of FC cricket or the current season?

Probably current season as he is talking about the potential we have

Amazing how England have manged to bypass Ramps after two season in the form of his life. I know we should be looking ahead to the future and we would be a stop gap but we stability in our middle order. Its what Sri Lanka can alwas be sure of. Either Mahela or Kumar will make runs if not both.

I thought so. Its just I he might of meant the talent overall we have had overall.

Under the age of 23 though. This time.

Yeha i meant in the last season.

Good to see Masters, he's really improved and he'll do well for Kent if they play him. Good to see Ravi and Shah up there and it's not like the selectors are ignoring the talent, tres probably has a similar record in OD's :D We should still call up Samit Patel imo anyway, when he gets a OD 100 and a couple more in FC he probably will get called up.

I think 23 was a bit young IMO, which is why there are some names that are a bit strange.

The highets run scorer to never have played an international was John Langridge of Sussex:

Code:
First Class Career
Matches Inns Not Out Runs HS Ave 100 50
574 984 66 34378 250* 37.44 76 152

The highest wicket taker to never have played an international was medium paced spinner Don Shepherd of Glamorgan:

Code:
First Class Career
Mat Balls Runs Wkts BBI BBM Ave Econ SR 4w 5w 10
668 132592 47302 2218 9/47 21.32 2.14 59.7 123 28

The best average goes to Shoaib Mohammed and Javed Miandad who average 91 in 23 innings together in, which they made 8 century partnerships and 7 fifty partnerships.

I knew he scores a lot of scores around that mark... The modern day Bevan :D

Do you know how many of those 28 scores between 50 and 99 were not out?

Clarke so far has 12 not outs between 50 and 99.
