Welcome to the Adelaide oval for the Ing Cup clash between South Australia and Victoria. The Bushrangers were handed huge cricket leason a few days agoby the Redbacks but managed to hang on for a Draw, the will be certainly looking for revenge today.
We have a barmy days weather here today with not a cloud in the sky, it around 28 degrees so the players will need there sun screen.
The pitch appears to be an absolute belter, flat hard and not many cracks at all. This is one toss you want to win as a skipper.
The Bushrangers have made the oneday cricket cardinal sin, not batting for the full 50 overs!!! All the good work by young Victorian opener Richie Roberts and his fellow team mates was wasted here as the bushranger were knocked over just into the 42 over of there innings. Poor running between the wickets has contribed the most to the fall of the BUshranger innings with four batsmen caught short of there ground. The Victorian bowler will sure have a job to do as they try to defend 232 on a batting track that Merv Hughes described as a real mother ****er !!!
Roberts View
After loosing his opening partner early Roberts knuckled down and played some fine strokes as he raced to 50 at almost a run a ball. However the rookie lost his head when calling for second run (thank christ he found it down near the thirdman boundary), only to have his new rival Jason Gillespie through down the stumps from the mid off boundary. Roberts really was a sight to see running aimlessly around the pitch like a headless chook.
Welcome to Bellerive Oval for the Ing Cup clash between Tasmania and Victoria. The Bushrangers were a sorry site after promising so much early on against South Australia, can they turn there form around here today?
We have a sunny weather here today with not a cloud in the sky, it around 28 degrees so the players will need there sun screen and wide brim hats.
The pitch appears to have quite a covering of grass which will assist the seam bowlers.
