It's good that Exeter will host a major international. Hopefully they will host more in the future.

Whats Beach Cricket?

A recent cricket simulator created by Neil Pickup at Cricket Web.

Pakistan have breezed through their only warm up match for the series after demolishing England A.

Result

England A innings: 53 all out (Asif 4/0)
Pakistan innings: 54/2 (Akmal 28 not out)

Pakistan win by 8 wickets.

^Too hard to believe. I mean come on, we cant be that bad!
The only reason that match was low scoring was because I made the computer play against itself. I will only take control of the senior England team on this tour.

means that england is going to have a lot more worse defeats? just joking, best of luck to both teams, not going to be one sided, let the best team win.

The first ODI starts today at Edgbaston. Here are the teams:

England

Marcus Trescothick
Andrew Strauss
Owais Shah
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Flintoff (Captain)
Geraint Jones
Paul Collingwood
Darren Gough
Matthew Hoggard
Steve Harmison
Sajid Mahmood

Pakistan

Salman Butt
Kamran Akmal
Shoaib Malik
Inzamam Ul-Haq (Captain)
Mohammad Yousuf
Younis Khan
Shahid Afridi
Rana Naved-ul-Hasan
Shoaib Akhtar
Mohammad Asif
Mohammad Sami

Owais Shah occupies Michael Vaughan's batting position while he is injured, Darren Gough gets a much deserved recall and Sajid Mahmood is still in despite poor ODI performances of late. For Pakistan, Mohammad Sami comes in for Abdul Razzaq.

England came through the first ODI against a strong Pakistan side, but it was by no means an easy win. Paul Collingwood was awarded man of the match, because if he was out earlier then England would probably have lost.

Result

Pakistan innings: 191/8 (Afridi 46)
England innings: 192/6 (Collingwood 56)

England win by 4 wickets.

good stuff nevertherless
Unfortunately not, Beach Cricket 2006 is simply a cricket simulator and there is no graphic interface involved.

He was bowled by Darren Gough, trying to work the ball around. The off stump cartwheeled back.

Below are the teams for the second ODI at County Ground, Exeter:

England

Marcus Trescothick
Andrew Strauss
Ian Bell
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Flintoff (Captain)
Paul Collingwood
Chris Read
Gareth Batty
Darren Gough
Matthew Hoggard
Steve Harmison

Pakistan

Salman Butt
Kamran Akmal
Shoaib Malik
Inzamam Ul-Haq (Captain)
Mohammad Yousuf
Younis Khan
Shahid Afridi
Rana Naved-ul-Hasan
Shoaib Akhtar
Mohammad Asif
Mohammad Sami

Pakistan have not changed their side, but for England Ian Bell replaces Owais Shah and finally Chris Read gets in ahead of Geraint Jones. Gareth Batty also provides England with some spin.

is it like crcisim???
if so like post the scorecards and whatever :)
I will see what I can do, but it will take some thought.

It was quite clear that Exeter haven't yet got a pitch suitable for an ODI. I'm sure it will be a while before they host another match! The man of the match award was given to Andrew Strauss, who scored an invaluable 24 not out on that impossible pitch.

Result

Pakistan innings: 66 all out (Flintoff 4/31)
England innings: 70/5 (Akhtar 5/35)

England win by 5 wickets.

At the moment my focus is to get results across. I will think about different ideas like pictures and presentations later on.

Teams are below for the third and final ODI at Edgbaston:

England

Marcus Trescothick
Andrew Strauss
Ian Bell
Kevin Pietersen
Andrew Flintoff (Captain)
Paul Collingwood
Chris Read
Gareth Batty
Darren Gough
Matthew Hoggard
Steve Harmison

Pakistan

Salman Butt
Kamran Akmal
Shoaib Malik
Inzamam Ul-Haq (Captain)
Mohammad Yousuf
Younis Khan
Shahid Afridi
Abdul Razzaq
Rana Naved-ul-Hasan
Shoaib Akhtar
Mohammad Asif

England are unchanged from the dead pitch battle at Exeter but Pakistan recall Abdul Razzaq.
