Yeah, I saw an interesting show on Sky Sports once called 'Pioneers of Cricket' or something along those lines. He always wanted to win but didn't mind losing if his team went down with a fight. His ability to spot talent in a matter of 3 balls was what made him such a great captain. He was confident in himself and the players he picked. If I recall correctly, it took him 3 balls watching Inzi in the nets before he told him that he was playing in the World Cup next year. It didn't take him long to recognize Waqar Younis' talent either. In fact, when he wasn't given the squad he wanted, he gave up captaincy. Quite a talismanic manic figure as captain.
