bowling marker color?

in the easier game modes what do the red, yellow and green colours for the bowling marker mean? is it related to whether the ball will hit the wicket or is it the delivery speed. It isn't in the manual and at higher difficulty its always black.

It's:
Dark red = very bad line & length
Orange = bad line & length
Yellow = Ok line & length
Green = perfect line & length
