Pakistan needs their aggresive cricket back, and Shoaib Malik looks aggressive to me. I feel he will be a good captain. I never liked Inzamam, the captain. He was too dull and insipid to me!

Abdur Razzaq or Shahid Afridi would have been a good choice for the post

well razzaq might have been because he fills that all rounder role in the team and hes spot is almost guaranteed but lately he has been criticized for his poor performance but Afridi doesnt have a spot in the team for sure and making him VC just wouldn't make sense.


and as far as my friend understand Yousuf and Younis arent gona be selected for the ODIs in abu-dhabi because Pakistan like India wana try some youngsters.

Yousuf is the correct choice as VC. Afridi is aggressive, and Razzaq is always giving tips (well I always see him with the bowler, he is probably giving tips). But Yousfu has experience, and works well with the team.

MoYo for VC. No one else looks capable enough.
Good choice of Malik for captaincy. No offense, but Pakistan doesn't have the most maturest of teams (Afridi, Asif, Shoaib...). Good bold choice with Malik to sort em out. MoYo as VC and it'll pan out.

No Yousuf wont ever accpet the role V.C, he is happy enough not to be captain but i think he will feel ashamed of bein 2nd and rightly so, But ASIF not dont ruin his career so early.. let him develop and show the world that he IS the next generation of fast bowling, Afridi IMO should be VC

V.C is a huge role and is usually taken by the person who would be the next captain. Who can that be? Afridi, Akmal, and Razzaq can all be in with a chance.

Akmal no man he is having enough troubles already and he isnt confident enough yet to be V.C, Afridi will be a strong candidate and i feel if Butt comes in he can be in there too which is just pathetic

Problem with Afridi is will he be in the side 100% of the time? He seems to be in and out of the side which is not what you want from your vice captain.

afridi could have had well over 400 odi's by now if he had been consistent

he still can have the leading odi appearances record cos hes around 250 right now and still 26 by law(reality around 28)

Afridi (If I'm not wrong) was brought into the team as a bowler. Pakistan used him the wrong way. And as a bowler, his wicket-taking abilities are better than Kaneria.
