British & Irish Lions in South Africa 2009

Quite simple really, the coach is a knob, Fourie should've started, I think the commentators said he's scored a try against everyone now so it just proves how much of a class act he is. Styen could well be the next great fly half for us.

Ref was dire imo.
Should have sent Burger off and was never in control of the game or consistent in his decisions. Third SA try inconclusive therefore no try; plus the touch judge said he was out and the ref ignored it.
Thought the tactics were wrong at the start of the second half. Started trying to play a kicking game which played into their hands. Also thought uncontested scrums benefited SA especially when they started playing with 5 flankers in the final quarter.

To be fair, we lost it when Adam Jones went off.

And I agree about the try; It was identical to Monye's last week so shouldn't have been given.

I could be wrong here but my theory is that the French ref (last week's TMO?) was paying back the touch judge (last week's ref) by ignoring him when he said foot in touch.
Shame the final game is now dead and SA really are dirty buggers.

Lions lost because of injurys and the ref. Call me bitter but I don't care because it's true and everyone knows it. Hope Burger gets a lengthy ban.

Well its a real improvement from the Lions since they got Thrashed by New Zealand 4 years ago. They dominated the World Champions.

I hope they beat Australia in Four Years time. Now we got the crappy Tri-Nations coming up

In both cases I think the wrong selections were made...but as a concerned springbok supporter I just feel we are not heading up the right path, at the moment we are heading down the path of total destruction masterminded by Pieter De Villiers and his cronies Dick Muir and Gary Gold.

We have so much talent yet we do not use it, Chiliboy Ralapele never should have been chosen same goes with Earl Rose...Derrick Kuun and Zane Kirchner should have been in the squad rather than them. Ruan Pienaar needs to find out where he wants to play, I do not think he is a quality fly half nor scrumhalf.

In my opinion we could be in for a disastrous trinations if the coach still wants to feed off what Jake White created, we cannot do this we need to build on it not destroy it

19. Ryan Kankowski - awesome talent
18. Danie Rossouw - lock or flanker it doesn't matter
17. Gurthro Steenkamp - powerful, mobile, can replace Bismarck with John moving back to hooker, or replace John with Derrick Kuun making a new frontrow
