I've been looking to purchase a new cell phone, but cannot understand that which one would suit me the best.

I have been using Nokia N95 8Gb for the past 18 - 20 months, and I am quite satisfied with it. The body has begun looking quite scratchy and bad. Instead of getting a new body, I am thinking to buy a new cell phone.

I am quite bored with Nokia N series now, so won't go for N97, N97 Mini, etc.

Also, after touch screen system becoming so common and N95 being without it, my hands are itching to get a touch screen mobile phone.

Which phone do you suggest guys.

Budget: Upto INR 15,000

I would love to purcahse a cell phone of Nokia again. Samsung might be a good option as well. A complete no to LG. Also, I wouldn't prefer a blackberry as I am not too much into the e-mailing stuff for which the blackberry is primarily made for.

Buy Nokia X6.

16,500.16 GB In Build Memory.

19,000.32 GB In Build Memory.

Also 10000 INR Nokia 5530

Have a look at the Samsung Galaxy Spica. Android 2.1, capacitive touch, and 800Mhz CPU, and around 13k. Its a real steal!

Samsung Galaxy Spica looks gun.
Getting tempted for it due to the OS being Android.

I think you have solved my problem to quite an extent.
Thanks a ton.

@rahulkhush: I think you mean X6, which is being promoted highly in the show "Zara Nachke Dikha" :p

Yeah, on paper its by far the best phone that much money can buy, and it is the only phone in that range which comes with a capacitive screen (Which are far better than the resistive Corby / Nokia ones). Be sure to buy the new stock which is coming with Android 2.1 though, because the earlier v1.6 stocks are still in the market, and frankly, it sucks. Android 2.1 enables a lot many things, including better touchscreen response, etc.

When you buy the phone, please let me know how it was. I've only seen the phone on the web, but I'd like someone's hands on experience!

Oh my mistake.. Yes X6. It is an awesome phone mate..

Of course.
I "Googled" it and found that latest one was Android 2.1.
Won't be going for any other version.

Have to purchase it before 18th of this month. Will send you a brief review of it if I purchase Galaxy Spica. (Mostly, after seeing it on the internet, I am sure that I won't be changing my mind now. :D)

X6 is good option and would not recommend getting anywhere near N97 mini.

Any specific reason?

- hanging
- backlight issue
- browser sucks
- music player has had issues
- call drop and signal drop issues
- battery life

:p

There are 38 pages of issues in original N97 on one of forums
