It might be, I'll have a look. I thought that you had a way of inserting files into the .gob if we could extract them.

Having now exported 10000 PNG files and found no kits and 15000 tga files and found the same 36 files repeated over and over I saw this file:
It's now my honest opinion that EA are leading us up the garden path...

This is nothing; the cricket 2004.exe has heaps of rugby audio like drop kick, tackles, scrum et al. I remember Andrew quoting in one of the interviews they were going to borrow renderware technology from Rugby, looks like they barrowed even the code:eek:

Search for ascii strings like "Unlimited Overs HARD Level" or "Limited Overs HARD Level" using any hex editor.

whats a good Hex Editor for this game?

If you are going to hex edit I recommend Ultra edit as it supports files over 2 GB. Even with Ultra edit you will need to do few tweaks to load the GOB file and save it. Follow the instructions below after having downloaded the Ultra edit, mind you even an odd character is input in GOB the game will not work.

Download Ultraedit from the following link :

Ultraedit download link

After having installed go to advanced menu, choose configuration then perform the following steps :

On the general tab, tick the checkbox ?Disable line numbers ?
Under ?Use of temporary file for editing?, choose ?open file WITHOUT temp file but NO PROMPT?
Go to ?Backup? tab and choose ?No backup?
Apply changes.

Maybe others might have a better way to do it. Any inputs are welcome.

You should now be ready to be able to update the .gob file without any fuss.

Here are some files I have extracted but am unable to view. Maybe someone knows how to. They are described by my extractor as playstation TIM files and there are about 2000 of them.
