Career Mode and Create Squad/Player Mode - Any Updates?

Just wondered if anyone knew how these features were implemented in the game?
Can you actually create a new player and start a career with him?
Also do the batting and bowling stats for the players in the game change as you play matches, or do they always stay the same?
