Career mode batsmen but I must bowl

How can I am set up a batsmen without the need to bowl?

I enjoy batting. Game prompts me to choose bowling type when I set up batsmen as primary.

Choose as pure batsman in the start and select as top order batsman and you will only bat but might be called on to bowl on very rare occasions...

I think it was set up this way, so that when you become captain, if you fancy having a bowl you can.

Yup, I would prefer to be a pure batsman as well. Currently I forfeit a match I'm called in to bowl. Maybe that's something that will be modified in the next iteration of the game, i.e. while setting up the career you decide whether you want to bowl occasionally or not at all.

Or you could just bowl pies and set a bad field. They'll take you off when you're 0/40 from 3 overs.
