Career mode: minor questions

I am really enjoying the Career mode but I am curious about two things:

i. I am supposed to be playing first-class cricket (English County Championship) at 16 years of age?

ii. Why is your player on the initial splash screen (and all other players, including Bradman, in all other modes) looking down as though examining his belt buckle? Mine looked up when I started the game today but after I came back from a nets session there he has again, looking down so that all you see is a cap and the bottom half of a face. Odd, don't you think?

From my experience:

i. Yes, that's where your career starts. Would be awesome if bigant simulated first XI cricket at your high school, but that might be asking a bit much :P

ii. He just got new shoes? Incidentally my career player is usually looking up and moving his mouth around. My wife says "Oh you're playing the duck face simulator again?" at least 5 times a week. It was funny the first 20 times, but she needs some new material now.

Lol hold down both triggers and use the analog stick to make him look around! A lot of people don't realize you can do this
