Go to Start> Run, type "regedit.exe"(without the quotes), click Ok. In the tree view navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Control Panel> Desktop> WindowMetrics. Then in right-hand-side double click on "Shell Icon Size", the default value will be 32, change it to 48. click ok, exit the program, log off, log back on.

Now your icons will be bigger like those of Vista!

Go to Start> Run, type "regedit.exe"(without the quotes), click Ok. In the tree view navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Control Panel> Desktop> WindowMetrics. Then in right-hand-side double click on "IconFont", erase the font name (only) present by hitting backspace. Type the name of the font you want in the format: "letter. letter......" eg.: for MS Sans Serif type- "M.S. .S.a.n.s. .S.e.r.i.f" note: dont give the point but hit the right arrow key.

Or if you are installing the vista transformation pack then you can go to the styler and use that to change the font, i am pretty sure though the styler can be found elsewhere also.
