But the BTR can be misleading as their fielding might be better or sumthing like that...

Well, opening bowlers - 10,000 - BTR - mid division IV team - in the league averages. Pardon me for assuming they're half decent bowlers...

43.4 W Raheem to Zaidi
Oh how unlucky can you get? The ball ricocheted off his partner's bat and looped up for an easy catch for Lodhi

Last Wicket: Zaidi c. Lodhi b. Raheem 112 (FOW: 266/4)

So unlucky he was doing so well and if he wouldnt have gone out i would have posted a huge score but Bennet did well to finish the innings...

End of Over 50: 326-9, runrate=6.52
Afridi 10-1-46-5
Bennett*72 (65 balls)
Rauf1 (1 balls)

Looks like my cup run is going on...

End of Over 43: 265-6, runrate=6.16, reqrunrate=8.86 (326-9)
Hastings 7-0-40-1
Saeedullah* 8 (5 balls)
Raheem 5 (7 balls)
Last Wicket: Wahab lbw b. Wajahat 28 (FOW: 251/6)

End of Over 11: 58-1, runrate=5.27
Otto 6-0-28-0
Powell* 27 (27 balls)
John 30 (37 balls)

Pretty average so far, how my spinners (Hemmings and Bowditch) bowl will be the key.

13.3 W Hemmings to Powell
What a throw! Cover came racing in and threw down the stumps before Powell could make his ground. Out!

Another important wicket.

End of Over 15: 77-2, runrate=5.13
Bowditch 1-0-7-0
John* 44 (48 balls)
Coyne 2 (4 balls)

But the games pretty balanced at the moment...

Wo it was so close than i thought it would be in the end i managed to win...

And that's the end of the match. Hasis Legends won by 2 runs.
Hasis Legends 326-9
gangsta 324-6

End of Over 34: 168-2, runrate=4.94
Hemmings 7-0-38-0
John* 76 (101 balls)
Coyne 53 (69 balls)

Wickets in hand, but the run rate is falling, mainly thanks to Bowditch, who bowled really well for 10-0-43-0.

EDIT - Anotjer wicket, Hemmings this time. Good to see because he's not been having a very good season so far.

35.4 W Hemmings to Coyne
'HOWZAT!' as the dull thud of the batsman's pad is heard.

End of Over 37: 179-3, runrate=4.84
Fieldwick 7-0-32-0
John* 81 (106 balls)
Dance 5 (4 balls)

EDIT 2 - And another:

38.3 W Fieldwick to John
Fieldwick follows the ball down the pitch aggressively and is rewarded as John nicks the ball upwards to him.

End of Over 39: 182-4, runrate=4.67
Fieldwick 8-1-32-1
Dance* 6 (8 balls)
Botham 0 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: John c & b. Fieldwick 82 (FOW: 182/4)

Going quite well, if I can keep the run rate below 5 by the end of the innings I'm in with a shot. He's got some very good bowlers, but they're all quickies, hence why I'm playing on a dusty pitch.

End of Over 50: 269-4, runrate=5.38
Otto 10-0-63-0
Botham* 44 (31 balls)
Dance 47 (47 balls)

Annoying last wicket partnership got the run rate up a bit. Well, its not gonna be easy, but its within my reach. Need 2 or 3 of my 4 key playets to get in, but Mason and Fieldwick made unbeaten 50s on Friday to dig me out of a hole, so I'm in with a shot.

I'm TIE against a div III team with my second team after two GFIs so there "should be some fireworks" as my opponent put it...

But randomly, my second wicket comes on the last ball of the innings. A bizarre stumping as well, with a quickie! (well, medium pacer)

End of Over 50: 371-2, runrate=7.42
Bishop 10-0-75-1
Allen* 189 (148 balls)
Belgrave 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Sykes st. Milner b. Bishop 57 (FOW: 371/2)
49.6 W Bishop to Sykes
Milner has come right up to the stumps. Bishop launches his slower ball and Sykes dances like a fairy down the pitch, misses, falls over and it's an easy stumping for Milner, who appears to have an attack of the giggles.

0.2 W Giles to Heath
Heath doesn't even stop to see the umpire's finger go up. He'll be kicking himself that he got out playing that shot.

Not the best of starts....

Still, my 2 best batsmen are in now. If anyone can do it, its those two.

End of Over 3: 7-1, runrate=2.33, reqrunrate=5.60 (269-4)
Giles 2-1-3-1
Speare* 3 (8 balls)
Mason 4 (8 balls)

Steadying the ship...

End of Over 4: 19-1, runrate=4.75, reqrunrate=5.46 (269-4)
Breen 2-0-11-0
Mason* 9 (11 balls)
Speare 5 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Heath c. Cambridge b. Giles 0 (FOW: 0/1)

3.6 1 Breen to Mason
Slower delivery, late cut to third man, Dance running wide to get the ball.
3.5 1 Breen to Speare
Speare gets in a tangle and doesn't know where that's gone, but his partner gives him a shout and they make an untroubled single.
3.4 b1 Breen to Mason
Mason misses it and so does Cambridge. That's a bye.
3.3 4 Breen to Mason
Straight drive for four.
3.2 1 Breen to Speare
Wide of off, steered down to third man, John fielding.
3.1 b4 Breen to Speare
Leg side delivery from Breen that stays low for some reason. Speare didn't touch it but Cambridge lost sight of the ball and can't even get a glove on it, so it rolls down to the boundary for 4 byes. Unlucky.

Then a few fireworks :)

Well, my match is too close for my liking.

End of Over 5: 29-0, runrate=5.80, reqrunrate=5.44 (273-10)
Cummings 3-0-14-0
Grahame* 21 (18 balls)
Dormer 5 (12 balls)

I would hate my cup run to end today. Mapes got a 100 though. It was quite a relief as he hasn't scored for quite a while. Hoult's dismal run continues with another under par score. It's a bit confusing given his skills. Maybe I should bat him lower down the order. He maybe tired after bowling 10 overs, but then he does have competant stamina.

the next team i got is in division 2 but the players its got arnt exactly that good ... i hope i can win my 4th cup game too..

Alright calm down mate...i was just wondering  ...

Anyways congrats to all who won their cup matches today :clap

17.1 2 John to Mason
Lovely off drive there but some great fielding keeps it to just two runs.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Well played lad, you've kept me in this.

End of Over 18: 104-1, runrate=5.78, reqrunrate=5.19 (269-4)
John 4-0-21-0
Speare* 41 (53 balls)
Mason 54 (55 balls)

And the hundred partnership. If they could keep going for a bit...
