I think that his entire team was like Daren Hilton [over rated]... i did better against you than they did...

FF I have noticed you liked chasing so that one reason why you would have won although his bowling is far superior according to those ratings so very strange why he lost it.

I guess. I have a good record chasing certainly, but a team that outclassed me so completely in the raings should beat me either way. A batter friendly pitch, some fairly economical bowling, 2 great innings and a lot of luck saw me through.

I TIEd today in preperations for Briggs, and rested Rudi, Cutler, Abdeen and Eli and played Atkinson, Shipp, Dennis and Williams in their place.
Got 162 a/o as a result, 50 exact for Crouch, 29 for Dennis.
But no fear. Bowled them out for 76 in return, Tuckett 4/16, Folkes 3/13, Crouch 2/6.
MOTM was a player from the losing team for a change, 17 year old seamer Nhleko who bowled well against me last time too, and took 5/17 today.

Attendance: 37546
Far from a full house of 42200, but ?278,780 in gate reciepts nonetheless. I think I could touch 300K in receipts if it is a full house.

I see your bowling wasn't affected from those rested players :) 270k + per match what a dream that will be when I get there :D

Kutta won the toss so this should be interesting seeing if I can defend a total.

Good start so far.

Code:
End of Over 1: 11-0, runrate=11.00
Cooksey 1-0-11-0
Steele* 7 (4 balls)
Liddle 4 (2 balls)

0.6 4 Cooksey to Liddle
That?ll push the run rate on. Cracking shot.
0.5 . Cooksey to Liddle
Good ball pitched on the stumps and coming in, Liddle stands tall and defends at his feet.
0.4 1 Cooksey to Steele
A sharp piece of play results in a single as the batsmen set off quickly after Steele deflected the ball just in front of his feet.
0.3 4 Cooksey to Steele
Loose delivery hoiked away to mid wicket.
0.2 . Cooksey to Steele
Well bowled, and that is well left by Steele.
0.1 2 Cooksey to Steele
Driven to the boundary for a comfortable two.

End of Over 3: 22-0, runrate=7.33
Cooksey 2-0-17-0
Liddle* 6 (9 balls)
Steele 16 (9 balls)

If I want to win I would have to :)

3.4 W Daniels to Liddle
Slower ball not picked by Liddle, he was through the shot too soon and he spoons a sitter back to Daniels

Another big over
Code:
6.6 lb2 Cooksey to Steele
Cooksey is left appealing for LBW as Steele dashes through for two leg byes.
6.5 1 Cooksey to Weaver
Stroked to wide extra cover and a single taken.
6.4 1 Cooksey to Steele
Advanced down the track, played out to mid on for an easy single.
6.3 . Cooksey to Steele
Outside the off, nipped away, left for Darby to field.
6.2 6 Cooksey to Steele
Lovely shot! Reminds me of when I was younger, I could do that with ease! Six runs!
6.1 1 Cooksey to Weaver
Solid stroke to long off for the single.

End of Over 9: 59-1, runrate=6.56
Cooksey 5-0-38-0
Steele* 37 (27 balls)
Weaver 11 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Liddle c & b. Daniels 9 (FOW: 28/1)

Lost Weaver before another 50 :(

14.2 W Weir to Weaver
He's hit it high, really high. Was surely going for six until Daniels just managed to claw it to his grasp. Weaver will be disappointed with that one.

Code:
15.3 4 Naidoo to Steele
A juicy full toss outside the off stump. Steele slashes hard and the ball squirts away for four.
15.2 6 Naidoo to Steele
Steele has smashed that one straight over the head of Naidoo and...... yes, out of the stadium. That was the biggest hit I've seen in my career!

Starting to slow down quite a bit now
End of Over 18: 114-2, runrate=6.33
Naidoo 4-0-28-0
Steele* 70 (58 balls)
Chavhanga 1 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Weaver c. Daniels b. Weir 32 (FOW: 93/2)

yea they are probably gonna slow down now..but still 280 would be good

I don't know Kutta team is dam good at chasing. Although had a massive 18th over.
Code:
18.6 . Weir to Chavhanga
Down leg, on the thigh pad.
18.5 1 Weir to Steele
Played back down the track. Long off running in to field.
18.5 nb3 Weir to Chavhanga
no ball, A long chase for Rampaul all the way from the fine leg boundary saves a run.
18.5 wd Weir to Chavhanga
Pitched way outside off stump, a wide called by the umpire.
18.4 1 Weir to Steele
The batsman cleverly rolls his wrists on it and it rolls slowly down to square leg.
18.3 4 Weir to Steele
A very, very hard drive to extra cover. Fantastic timing.
18.2 . Weir to Steele
    Good fielding at mid on.
18.1 4 Weir to Steele
Pulled hard between mid wicket and square leg.

Currently

End of Over 24: 146-2, runrate=6.08
Woodward 2-0-3-0
Steele* 86 (79 balls)
Chavhanga 15 (22 balls)

Last Wicket: Weaver c. Daniels b. Weir 32 (FOW: 93/2)

Seems like the commentary has gone back to the 8th over now :(

hahah yea it has for everyone else, it works if u watch it in multiview tho:p

Kinda of kills it without the commentary, will have to post the good bits when it catches up.

End of Over 30: 181-2, runrate=6.03
Woodward 5-0-18-0
Chavhanga* 29 (39 balls)
Steele 107 (98 balls)

Last Wicket: Weaver c. Daniels b. Weir 32 (FOW: 93/2)

Good to see these two have maintained a 6 an over run rate. 2 more wicket before the big hitters come hopefully they don't get wasted like last time against Angry.
