Gilroy gets the breakthrough in his first over.

11.2 W Gilroy to Talamini
Talamini will be drinking at the Bar Humbug tonight after that dubious LBW decision. To me, that ball seemed to pitch outside of leg.

End of Over 12: 66-1, runrate=5.50
Gilroy 1-0-3-1
Flowers* 31 (27 balls)
Verhoeven 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Talamini lbw b. Gilroy 30 (FOW: 63/1)

----------

And the double blow.

12.3 W Fieldhouse to Verhoeven
Short one down leg from Fieldhouse, there's a slight noise and the umpire ups his finger. The noise sounded woody, Verhoeven is distraught and replays suggest he is right to be. Nothing going on but thigh pad. Good tumbling catch from Nock to be fair though.

Fieldhouse with figures of 1/37 from 7 overs. 69/2 after 13.

Tough chase on our hands on a cracked pitch. Really should have played that extra batsman, probably Roff to replace Xolani which would have improved our bowling and then we could have batted down to 9.

End of Over 50: 269-3, runrate=5.38
Fieldhouse 10-0-52-1
Tarrant* 42 (32 balls)
Bonds 90 (111 balls)

Last Wicket: Flowers b. Xolani 87 (FOW: 189/3)

Bowling Figures

Fieldhouse 1/52 (10)
Iftikhar 0/59 (10)
Gilroy 1/35 (10)
Clayden 0/34 (10)
Xolani 1/74 (10)

Pretty poor from Xolani. Only good thing was taking the big wicket of Flowers before he scored his century. Now it's up to Bittner and Clist to get us off to a good start.

Well they might think that we can't win but they're still doing some damage to help our NRR as we keep on scoring runs.

End of Over 44: 201-5, runrate=4.57, reqrunrate=11.50 (269-3)
Wajahatullah 7-0-32-3
Euell* 92 (89 balls)
Gilroy 49 (105 balls)

Last Wicket: Von hoesslin c. Talamini b. Tarrant 6 (FOW: 81/5)

Very slow innings from Gilroy but a good innings nevertheless.

Although Euell got lucky on 88.

42.5 . John to Euell
Too much width and Euell cuts hard, but uppishly. Wajahatullah is already leaping upwards, but he can't quite grip the ball as it seethes over his head. A good effort, but it has to go down as a chance. At least he saved four runs.

And Euell onto 96* now after hitting a boundary.

----------

There's Gilroy's second career fifty, his first actually as he's scored a century.

44.3 4 John to Gilroy
Gilroy scythes a four to deep midwicket courtesy of some wobbly fielding from Verhoeven, who mistimes his slide and fumbles the ball over the boundary.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

----------

Oh no, you got to feel sorry for him though.

45.1 W Wajahatullah to Euell
Inside edge... and what a splendid take from Anuiyelewa! He took that down the leg side, diving one-handed. A cracking piece of wicketkeeping.

Out for 97, coming off 92 balls.

Although at the start of the day, the game looked like it could have been a draw, the last couple of overs have made sure that won't be the case.

46.6 W Gilroy to Rankine
Gilroy has packed several fielders around the bat, looking for an edge. A little bit of drift, Rankine tries to drive and the ball has ballooned up to silly point. Brilliant field placement there.
46.5 W Gilroy to Daniel
Wide delivery from Gilroy which ripped off the surface and moved virtually sideways onto off stump. Incredible bowling from Gilroy. Daniel can't believe it.

47.4 W Iftikhar to Mulligan
Thin edge by Mulligan and Nock caught it cleanly. Some hesitating by the umpire but at the end the finger goes up and it is all over for Mulligan.

End of Over 48 (1 run). Puntroad Sloggers: 129-8, runrate=2.69 (1st Inn: 203-10)
Trail by 3 runs. (Hedgers XI 335-10)

Chatterton 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Mulligan c. Nock b. Iftikhar 0 (FOW: 129/8)

Going alright. Maybe in for a surprise win but the loss of Bittner hurt us. He scored 60 at a run a ball.

End of Over 32: 127-2, runrate=3.97
Eatwell 6-0-22-0
Gatting* 17 (28 balls)
Nock 28 (49 balls)

Last Wicket: Bittner b. Percy 60 (FOW: 100/2)

We've still got Euell though to come in who scored 97 last week and Gilroy scored 50.
