TT Lions - 260/2. Mcintyre (Feeble bat only) 109*, Crouch 109 off 88.
Havard Club - 47 a/o in 12 overs.
Folkes 6-1-21-2
Crouch 6-0-23-8

MOTM: Crouch.

Set him on V.Attacking at number 3, bowling orders were openers through. Crouch's second 8-fer in for the season...

Last Wicket: Rasool b. Mould 98 (FOW: 273/3)

quickest 98 of my team's history, only in 63 balls. Poor fellow, his 4th half century in 6 matches, yet to register his maiden 100 in any form of games.

Welcome to Cricketers National Ground for the match between Borncricketers XI and Old Wulfs.

We can tell you that Borncricketers XI won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

Borncricketers XI have selected Bowler, Abdul kadir, Karthikeyan, Rampaul, Hocking, Angell, Mckenzie, Ali, Masilo, Tau, Alshaun.

Old Wulfs have picked Heath, Mason, Gilroy, Stiles, Basson, Fieldwick, Muir, Stone, Purse, Hemmings, Otto.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

2.1 W Otto to Bowler
Bowler looked to have played a perfect shot past the bowler... but no! Otto stretches out with near-elastic arms and takes an impossible catch.

End of Over 2: 8-0, runrate=4.00
Fieldwick 1-0-2-0
Bowler* 2 (5 balls)
Abdul kadir 5 (7 balls)

End of Over 3: 14-1, runrate=4.67

Kathikeyan's enjoying himself....both of them look like they are in for a big one...lets c

17.1 4 Hemmings to Karthikeyan
He managed to play that one past extra cover. The sweeper gets a hand to it but the ball still rolls over the rope.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

18.5 4 Stiles to Abdul kadir
Pull shot, middled, four runs right off the bat.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

End of Over 19: 113-1, runrate=5.95

8 runs away from 300...
End of Over 49: 292-4, runrate=5.96
Fieldwick 10-0-57-1
Hocking* 23 (19 balls)

Mckenzie* 2 (3 balls)
Hocking 25 (21 balls)

A bit dissapointed at the end that we didnt get to 300, i am sure if karthikeyan was still in we would have got the 300 but its all good, great batting by the guys, they did thier job. Now its up to the bowlers to do thier job and bowl the OLD WULFS out.

The clash of the titans between the Cricket Geniuses and Everton has begun.

End of Over 10: 67-1, runrate=6.70
Chaudhry 5-0-37-1
Blakeman* 9 (12 balls)
Allardyce 38 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Hume c. Mampe b. Chaudhry 18 (FOW: 49/1)

I'll take this start. Would have been better if Hume didn't get out. 300 should be the minimum score on this dusty wicket.

End of Over 40: 179-4, runrate=4.48
Heggett 10-1-45-1
Riaan* 12 (7 balls)
Mcdonagh 13 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Chinthaka b. Heggett 84 (FOW: 159/4)

Against Bushwackers as well, slow pitch. I think I might have a chance if they can keep this up

End of Over 50: 244-7, runrate=4.88
Ryan 10-1-43-4
Mcdonagh* 58 (58 balls)
Nedd 4 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Pead lbw b. Ryan 4 (FOW: 240/7)

Wow, I have done really well against the mighty Bushwackers on a slow pitch. Chinthaka got 82 as well as McDonagh's 58. Need the bowlers to back them up

more like 111...lol

Old wulfs fought hard butt ended up 47 runs short. good fighting 100 from Gilroy but no one else was there to help hum. Masilo picking up 4 wickets and Tau getting 3

good game freddie

Yes indeed, your boys did well and thoroughly deserved to win.

I took a gamble in setting some pretty aggressive bowling orders, and that backfired slightly spectacularly. To do a decent run chase I really need 2 of Gilroy, Stiles and Basson to fire, and only Gilroy did today. I'm surprised I got so close to your score with only 1 of my main bats doing anything.

Makes my promotion hopes interesting, I think the Assassins XI now need to lose a match before I can get auto-promoted. Have you got to play them again Briggsey? :p

This must be the closest game in Planetcricket history!!

End of Over 44: 211-8, runrate=4.80, reqrunrate=4.33 (236-6)
Breen 7-0-35-1
Wood* 88 (101 balls)
Osmond 14 (15 balls)

Could well do it from here. Just stay in, and we're in with a chance.

End of Over 49: 229-9, runrate=4.67, reqrunrate=8.00 (236-6)
Samuel 10-1-42-3
Wood* 95 (117 balls)
Hignett 2 (2 balls)

Dammit. 8 runs needed.

49.1 4 Breen to Wood
Dances down the pitch and hammers it over Breen's head. One bounce and four runs.
49.2 1 Breen to Wood
Neatly run away to third man.
And that's a century for Wood! Well played indeed Sir!
49.3 1 Breen to Hignett
Aims to play the ball to the on side, thick outside edge takes it to Singh at mid off. They still manage to get a quick single though.
49.4 1 Breen to Wood
Flicked to square leg and a hasty single is taken. A direct hit would have seen him run out!

So, 2 balls left, one run needed. Fantastic batting by Wood. Hignetts more than capable of getting that last run.

49.5 W Breen to Hignett
He's beaten by the turn and gets a leading edge straight to mid off.

Noooo! Oh dear, a tie...
If a result is required, I think the BFN Bombers won, they were only 6 down.

Wood the MOTM in my opinion, absolutely fantastic 101, nearly won the game.

I lost to Bushwackers by 3 wickets, but I dont feel let down. We played magnificently and they reached the target with only 3 overs left

:noway 230 would be a defendable score

however, 111 is nowhere near close enough
