He is getting a job in australia so hes sticking up to austrailia to get in his employer good books:cutit :cheesy anyway I like richie becuase he is not byest he wouldn't care if austrila lost or won the ashes 5-0 he likes a good series, plus he give veiwers advice as well

Riche Benaud is a great commentator but I feel he is greatly biassed to the aussies and sometimes he doesn't get facts correct. In the recent superseries match he was havin a discussion with Marc nicholas bout Sangakkara and he said dat he bats at no. 7 for Sri Lanka normally in the matches which is absurd coz he bats at 3 for both test and ODI teams.

He has also said b4 dat SL were jus copying the aussies and trying to make a batsman into keeper which is prtty far fetched when Sangakkara can make it into the side jus as as equally as a keeper or a batsmen.

Richie isn't bias towards the Aussies. He is a very netural commentator. You want to see bias just listen to the English ones during the Ashes.

I tend to agree with Richie. Opening wise most teams would love to have a keeper that could open in the ODI format of the game.
Test matches I guess you would also love a guy that can come and take the game a way from you down the order.
Aus themselves will be trying to find a new Gilly after he goes.

i agree. One person that really annoyed me in the ashes was simon hughes the analyst. He is very biased

Finally I am getting some sensible comments. As I said its not about knowledge all the time. Even my gf likes listening to Bill Lawry instead. People like her are also part of cricket audience not just die-hard fans and critics like us. Still I wouldn't mind listening to Richie Benaud.
