Ok not sure if this is going to work but it's worth a try. How about contacting EA on behalf of C2002 online and asking them to release a patch? Also prepare a (long) list of bugs.

What do you guys think about this?
One of the 'features' on their site -

Before release:
Exclusive Player Editor allows players to change the features of current team members to your own local team.

Now:
Exclusive Player Editor allows players to change the player names.

As well as the 'realistic player and team statistics that are constantly affected by changing weather, pitch and match conditions'.
Hmmm, changing weather?

the game doesn't have 'features' that EA so proudly announced..and we bought the game on that.. cheats ???!
What's more annoying is that they have announced C2004 without fixing these bugs..

Andrew{development manager for Ea Australia} has promised a patch but as he promised it in Early July i don't have much hopes of it coming very soon!THere is ABSOLUTELY NO response to queries from EA at their "official" forum and they even deleted the "buglist" thread scores of people had worked upon and it reflected every single bug of the game{over 10 pages of bugs!}

Andrew has dissapeared since he made that statement about the patch. I think we would all be morons if we bought c2004. I don't think I am that desparate to throw my money on a company that does not care about its consumers. The EA strategy is simple. Instead of releasing patches make some small changes and release a new version and make more money off the game. This is what they have been doing consistently with all their other titles over the years.

As cricket fans we should not let EA exploit us like they have exploited other sports fans. Let us boycott C2004. Unless they release a patch and fix all the bugs we have pointed out do not buy c2004.
