Alright, whenever I go back to the US, I turn 16.

And I am gonna want a car for my special private things that I do in... private :p

So, those of you who have had to do this -

What are the best reasons you supply to your parents in order to help pay for a car?

And I'm not talking about a BMW, just a decent car that I can drive and has power steering.

You are 16 and you want a car?

I'm 16, and I need to get some education first.

At this age you kids should be more concerned about books :p

I don't think that he knows that in the US you can drive when you turn 16 you see.....

Most other countries allow you to drive at 17 with a learners and then 18 with a full license.
Also in Canada at 16 you get a G1 license which means that you can drive with anybody who has had a license for atleast 4 years. After 8 months of getting G1, you give another test and then you get the full privileges like the full license people but cannot drive after 12 AM and on Highways...Then give another test which gets you full license:D Im getting G1 in September:D

i'm getting a learners license tomorrow :). In the US (Where I live at least) It's 14 and 9 months to start drivers training. I'll have a full fledged license by next year. :)

When I was 15 I was involved in a head on car crash and I broke my arm. Me and my mum claimed compensation for it because the bloke who hit us was drink driving so we both got £3000 each. Thus providing me enough money to buy a car with when I turn 18 in December.

So basically what i'm reccomending is to get a drunk bloke to crash into you...

Or, do it the way most people do it, don't rely on parents and buy your own from a job.
