I am constantly getting CPU out on low totals both in ODI's & 20-20's on Hard difficulty level.I have not tried Test's yet.I hope same will be the case in test's as well.:facepalm
Bowling on the offside with packed offside field you can destroy CPU resulting in low totals. My concern is that if there is any way to sort out this stupid play by the AI.Any suggestions will be appreciated....

I try to really vary things and tend to ignore the "put it in the yellow spot and we will do the rest for you mantra" at least for 3 balls per over.Think cricket and it becomes cricket. Yep, I go for some runs but the AI put on a decent target and I have really felt that I have weaned them out rather just follow the coded "If ball here=stupid shot" and if I get a stupdi run-out a just reload the game.

How is that possible?

TBH, CPU whacks me all over the park while batting!!!

Dont pack the offside field!

ye but the point of bowling is to get them out as quick as possible we shudent have to change are game to make a game better.

on fifa 10 your not gunna et the computer score to make it a better game thats just ridiculous.

I had 5 test matches against Australia and the highest total they got out of any innings was 120! I was bowling them out mainly in the 80's. So i'm guessing I have the bowling side of things pretty sewn up!

What I have started doing now, is selecting both teams and batting an innings, then saving the game selecting the 'away' team and batting again, makes it much more interesting and fun trying to beat your own score, this has helped me improve my batting immensley.

Cant wait to get home from work and pick up at Tea on day 2 of a test match between SA and NZ. NZ 506 all out, SA currently 270/1 (trying to level the series at 1-1) Its so exciting!!!!!! :)

What are you playing as both in that test match also??

boost their batting skills to 100%

I don't think so that this tactic will work.I have tried this as well by boosting their batting and fielding skills to 100% but looks like they have no brains ,same stupid batting and runouts. Will check by lowering the stats who knows that they might start to think like a cricketer instead of a golfer with the axe in hand and whacking everything when not required and stopping the balls when more runs are required of lesser balls.

Yeah I am, firstly batted with NZ, then after the innings, saved the game, quit, loaded the game back up and started playing as SA. Personally I find you can make a 5 day test match last longer than a day maybe a day and a half, because you dont have to play every shot like the computer does when you bowl, makes it more realistic (well in my mind it does :laugh

KP Nuts added 19 Minutes and 49 Seconds later...

:facepalm

Ooops forgot to quote :doh

We shouldn't have to improve / decrease the AI batting attributes, we shouldn't have to give the AI easy feilds so that they get a half decent total and we shouldn't have to bat as both teams in order to get a bit of a challenge! This game is a mess when it comes to playing the AI.

I now find myself simulating ghe AI innings because its to easy to get them out for 100 or less.

Sort it out Codies!

Even simulating gets the AI to post moderate totals
