Cricket player u look up 2

Bichel is the king of kings. The ICC bitch about the spirit of cricket, if they really valued it, they would recognise this man as it's embodiment. If only every team had a few Bichels, you might not get any records breaking, but you would get great cricket.

Stuart MacGill represents a lot of great qualities to me. He's a man who sticks up for what he thinks, even if it's not in his best interests. A guy who won't let a massive obstacle (Warne) overburden him, in fact, he seems strengthed by it. He's a man who bucks the trend of the stereotypical Aussie cricketer, but through his lighthearted and humourous demeanor, he is true blue.

I say it again and again, there's two guys I can't wait to hear commentate. Adam Gilchrist and Glenn McGrath.

Within Gilchrist's simple down-to-earth charm, so too, his simple mantra, "just hit the ball", is a key to much of his success, indeed good wisdom for anyone. Things don't get out of your control while they are simple.

As for the bloke from Narromine, there's another kind of simple. Just bowl the same excellent delivery a million times. Success will follow you.

Of course, these guys aren't just simple folk. Gilly never leaves his wit in the dressing room and can joke cricket as well as he knows cricket. McGrath is a renowned practical joker, famously confident when speaking to the media and never short of a word, a quintessential "Aussie larrikin".

Rahul Sharad Dravid --- Determination and Hardwork personified . A great role model for the youth of India .

Sachin Tendulkar --- Inspite of all that he has achieved , he has remained a down to earth cricketer
Both these guys have had a blemishless career as well which cannot be said about the likes of warne .

Sachin and Dravid are certain. I agree on Bichel too. Fatstic players these three.
Bravo is full of enthusiasm, he is also a fine character.

However, to me, a true allrounder has yet to exist(or I haven't heard of him). A player who will be willing to bat anywhere in the order, bowl at anytime, and even keep wickets if required. Razzaq(batted at 3-11, has opened the bowling and bowled at the death) has been the only one close. And he is one of the few cricketers I really like.

Player we can look up to? there are so many gentlemen in cricket who have made the game very nice to watch indeed. They play with spirit and committment.
Sachin, Gilchrist, Kumble, Murali, Dravid and Lara.

Of all time cricketers, I'd say I look up to Imran Khan. Here's a man who always trusted his instincts. His leadership qualities made Pakistan a real threat against the super powers like the West Indies. He had an eye for talent, as we saw in Akram, Younis, Qadir, Aaqib, Mushy, etc. The man was a great example of a disciplined cricketer. He was a great bowler, who after an injury moulded himself into a very good batsman.

After his cricket career ended, he went on a campaign to collect funds to open the first ever cancer hospital in Pakistan that was free to the poor. Then he made the gutsy decision of entering the dirty world of politics where he has thus far done his best to uphold his ideals (though I don't agree with his politics).

Shoaib Akhtar, weird decision but he stuck to his guns trying to bowl over 100mph instead of getting into the Pakistan squad. Just keep on doing what you do best!

all of them acctualy exept the cheaters like bell............and.....and...( i hate to say this as he used to be my fav player now i have lost a bit of respect for him....but he is still one of my fav players and the best to watch) Shahid Afridi

Makhaya Ntini, for becoming a world class internation fast bowler from being a sheep herder in the Transkei, without the desire to play cricket and the determination he would probably be still sitting there....
Also Andrew Hall, he recovered from being shot in the face in an armed robbery! Look at him now, he is a hardened cricketer, willing to take on any challenges and is also very competetive. A hard guy, should be in Aus imo.
