Your Cricket Describe your Style

Right-Hand Bat
Opening Batsman
Best: 134 Not out

Bowling
Left Arm Medium Pace
Best: 3/24 off 7 overs ( 50-over match) ( All 3 were Off-Cutters, which was the reason for my name)

But i think myself of more of a batsman than a all-rounder, I much prefer batting but wont mind having a bowl every now and then, you could say i`m a part-time bowler.

Right Hand Bat
Opening Batsman (even I can be sent at no. 6 or no. 7 if pinch hitters aren't available..)
Best:-
Firstclass:- TMD
OD:- 172 not out.
T20s:- 113 Not out..

Bowling:-
Right Arm Fast.
Best:-

T20:- 4-3-4-6

And even I sometimes keep wickets.
Stumps:- Around 40(in all formats)
Catches as a keeper:- Around 20 (In all formats)

Now I've left keeping but I'll be keeping if no one is fit..

All the records are made with 3rd class students:p.. (Of course, on original pitch when I was in 9th..)

Well I am very weird cricketer. For some reason playing a nice defensive shot gives me more confidence rather than getting fours. I have never gotten an opportunity to really bat so I do not know if I am more batsmen then bowler.

Bowling wise I can be very dangerous I am pretty quick plus I have a nice looking yorker and I have been working on getting a slow ball. I can go for some runs but when I get hit for consecutive boundaries I usually come back to end the over with atleast one good ball near the end of the over.

Fielding wise I need improvement I just need to learn how to catch a ball properly without hurting my hand. Other than that I am pretty good because I always commit to stop the ball even if that means diving or chasing it a long way.

That just takes time. As a youth I had the same problem but over the years my hands hardened and now I don't even think twice about stopping a ripper or taking a catch. Even if I stop a hard hit shot It only stings now for a few seconds. It used to hurt for hours when I was a kid!

yea I am 15 but I have small hands so their is a lot of impact on the bone of my hand. I played for my Schools Cricket team and all we focused on was fielding and my hand hardened for sure but still I need some practice to become a really good catcher

batting: no.11 cos im nt the best batsman. tend 2 jus play defensive and get frustrated and slog

bowling: open the bowling with a decent pace, swing and seam the ball alot and take wickets. use my height 2 hit the deck hard and get bounce

fielding: usually field at mid off, quite quick and gettin better at catching

I open the batting for my club. I have a good defensive technique, and a good back foot as a result. I pride myself on my back foot shots, however I sometimes have a dodgy pull shot. Occasionally I sky pull shots to fine leg - I was dismissed twice last season in that exact way. When I get over the pull shot I am fine, and normally it races away to the boundary, however sometimes rarely when the ball rises off the pitch I tend to play at them when I should duck. However, I have a great cut shot which gets me a lot of boundaries.

I love the leg glance and the work off the pad shot, which is very effective as an opening batsman when you get a good length ball on leg stump. Haven't got a great front foot drive, and not a big-hitter, but my back foot defence and cut shot make up for it.

I also use a technique that Bradman used back in the day, which might sound strange, but it helps my batting in giant leaps. Just as the bowler releases I take a step on to my back foot across my stumps a little bit. It's not a huge step, but it sets me up for a good back-foot and I can still come forward if needed.

Bowling wise, I'm not really decided. I bowl part-time off spin, which generally is economic but doesn't really pick up wickets, and occasionally I bowl medium pace with a touch of outswing. I used to get a lot more outswing (a few years back, when I played in the U12 State Championships, I was one of the leading wicket-takers as I got a lot of outswing from my tall front-on action) but now I generate it almost randomly.

Best bowling figures of 3/3.

I just gotta a question how come almost everyone on this forum is like HS is like 164. I am the captain on my team, leading wicket taker and the opening batsmen at the same time. Plus I am the best fielder like seriously I haven't seen one person who describes that they bat like a normal person like they have scored at max maybe like 80 and the best bowling figures of maybe 4-40. I highly doubt that everyone here is the star of their team some I won't doubt that they are probably really good but some I think are probably boasting. I never lie about anything about myself. I am not a great fielder, I have potential in both batting and bowling but for the time being im not so great. But I can become a really good player in about 2-5 years

I am a 2nd change bowler and a number 11 bat. Definitely crap, and usually get dropped for the big games. :(

I am a decent fielder in the covers though and since I play in a recreation league most of the guys in my team are overweight and out of shape. In that department I shine like a super star since I am in good shape

Well here's mine:

Style:All Rounder
Height:188 cm
Build:Athletic
Batting-Right Hand Middle/Lower order Batsman
Unlimited Overs H.S.- 202 in 2002 against lads from my School at Plumtree,Nottingham
Limited Overs H.S.-84* against the same bunch

Bowling-Right arm Googly bowler/Right arm Swing bowler depending on the conditions
Best bowling figures-Unlimited Overs-8/132 [Against Boys from Ripley in 2005]
Limited overs-5/8-against a weak united team formed by my Brother and my colleagues at high school in 2006.

Fielding Arm:Right
Fielding History:Overall an unpredictable fielder...Capable of looking pathetic on some days and magnificient on others....I have occassionally kept as well and I have even had a reputation for being an excellent keeper of Spin Bowling....I really dont know the exact number of catches/stumpings I have done but I can tell you it is quite a lot....

Batting
I'm an opener or a late order batsman.
I can hit the ball quite far but i usually get caught at either long off or deep midwicket.

Bowling
Used to be a quickie with Tait's action but reverted to a leggie when i learned how to bowl the top spinner and the wrong'un can get turn and bounce.

Fielding
In my club we got rubbish fielders and i'm like the best there so i keep when the keeper is injured but usually i field at point and backward point (when the captain is bothered to put one in )

Hang on, sorry I'm confused. You're English, living in England, with Michael Clarke as your avatar and a Fremantle Dockers sig? Hahah, I don't understand!

Oh yeah, mine.

I'm an okay batsman, good defensive technique but sometimes I can get bogged down easily. I'm hard to get out, and sometimes when I have a slog it pays off. I often bat at 8 cause we have a strong lineup, but when we lose 2 early wickets I'm sent in early to steady the ship. I don't really enjoy batting.

I'm an opening bowler, and I can swing the ball both ways consistently with the new ball. With the old ball however I'm not so good, I have to rely on subtle changes in pace, and I often get spanked. Bowling is my passion, and I love the new ball. I'm not extremely quick, I'm average paced, but I'm nippy and not easy to play early on. I'm not trying to build myself up here, I'm nothing special, but I do like to think I am dangerous with the new ball.

I'm a reasonably good fielder, I'm pretty agile and I have safe hands, but I'm nothing special. I have a weak throw (not really weak, but not great) and my captain always fields me on the boundary for some reason. haha.

I just realized something if this thread is about describing your style how come half the people are giving high scores and best bowling figs? Your high scores and best bowling figs does not describe your style of play
