Hello.
I havent got the game yet but by the looks of it, it doesnt look that impressive, all the bugs. A new FIFA game is released every year with very little bugs. A cricket game is released about every 2 years, full of bugs. The next cricket game isnt going to be any better, no EA cricket game is going to be better. There can be a good cricket game when HB studios makes it or something.
AGREED?

Sadan01 having a big rant

I dont want to incite violence and bloodshed but I dont care about EA looking for a new dev team.

The point is this, I have paid $70 for this game and I expect it to work as designed. Sure, some people may have money to throw around but I dont. Games are damn expensive and I am sick of being ripped off with some software does that not work due to bugs.

Does Cricket 2004 work as designed? No. So I want it fixed or my money back. This is starting to border on misinformation and we, the public, are being ripped off. I am not just targeting EA here - there are alot of developers that are at fault --- look at Atari with Moo3, the game SiN (cant remember who the developer was), the BattleCruiser series etc etc etc. I am sure all of you could add much more to this list.

Coming back to EA, I have bought 3 of their recent games: Tiger Woods 2004, Cricket 2004 and NFS: Underground. Now, there is only one game out of the 3 (Tiger) that is playable with seemingly no bugs. Granted, that NFSU has had 3-4 patches released since its release however, it still hasnt fixed some showstopping bugs.

I wish that EA would pull their heads out of the respective arses and get this (Cricket 04) and other games patched quick smart and also review their beta-testing procedures - if they actually beta-test for bugs.

I would however like to say, as I did yesterday, that I want to thank all here for modding this game further that thought possible to make it more of a friendly and enjoyable experience. I'd rather pay you folks the $70 I shelled out to EA for this game, than give it to them so they can release the bloody Sims 2 (hey and what's the bet it too will be full of bugs).

Cheers

But that's it isnt it... All we need is a developer that gives a damn about us. Ok sure, they do have to make money too and that's fine with me. No money, no game. However, what I have been trying to point out is that EA's way of releasing a bug-filled games to the public which are just obviously beta versions is pathetic and I for one am getting sick and tired of it. Further to that, they either take AGES to fix the bloody problems or they dont fix them at all and then release a new version 12-18 months later with the same bugs . They just DONT CARE!!!!

There are other genre's of games out there where the devs/pubs release the game with bugs but fix them quick-smart. A good example is X2 (Egosoft). They give a damn about their customer base. They care what their customers think. EA? They dont give a frog's backside what we think as long as they get $70 from each and every one of us.

I think Sami has had a gut full of s**t cricket games year after year (excluding blc) & I don't blame him.
