Just done a scan of this forum and cannot see this asked before so.........

Is it possible to edit the default fields in ICC 3. I don' like the way the AI in ODI's have loads of slips and silly points and bat pads between 10-20 overs etc when you are 80-1 or something.

And late in the innings, a new batsman comes in (e.g at 230-3) and you have 2 slips put in etc. This happens so rarely in real life, and it leaves plenty of scoring opportunities that wouldn't normally happen?

I fear the answer to my question is no, but I hold out for any hope

In previous ICC versions, the word 'edit' has been written in small writing next to each batsman's field setting diagram, on the main in-game screen. All you have to do is click on the word 'edit'. I'm not sure about ICC III, I haven't played it, but it could be similar.

Alternatively, you could visit my 'Custom Field Settings' thread just below this thread, where I have prepared field settings to download, made to suit every situation that I can think of.

***Wait, I thought you meant changing the field when you're bowling. I realise now that you were referring to the field set when the computer is bowling. In which case ignore all of the above. Oh well, it was worth the self promotion.***

Yes I was referring to editing the fields the AI use when you bat...

i seriously doubt that this can be changed, it just depends on how good the AI is, which in ICC doesnt seem especially good
