Bayern and Leverkusen played out an exciting 3-3 draw. Moutinho handed Bayern the lead with a wonderful long range strike. Gotze doubled the lead after a neat one-two. Cahill pulled one back, scoring with a header from a Calhanoglu freekick. Jovetic equalised, converting Bale's cross on the brink of half-time. But Lewandowski put Bayern in the lead almost immediately, capitalising on a defensive error. Bale equalised for Leverkusen with a header.

A thrilling match between Benfica and Milan ended 3-3. Anderson Talisca gave Benfica the perfect start with a deft chip. Sahin equalised almost immediately with a shot from the edge of the box. Alan restored the lead with a simple tap-in. Lavezzi made it level from a freekick routine. Torres had the chance to put his side ahead but missed his spot-kick. Anderson scored a late goal to put Benfica in the lead by dispossessing a Milan defender. Lavezzi scored a late equaliser to earn 1 point for his side.
MOTM: Anderson Talisca: The young Brazilian scored a brace to almost win his side for his side, but was denied all three points by a late goal.
Barcelona 2 vs Paris 0

A Neymar brace helped Barca to a simple 2-0 victory over Paris. Neymar gave Barca the lead with a tap-in. Neymar doubled the lead with another tap-in.

Shakhtar 1 vs Man City 1

City and Shakhtar played out a 1-1 draw in what was a battle of the midfields. Right on the brink of halftime, Payet handed Shakhtar the lead with a curled finish. Kivrak brought Hazard down in the box to concede a penalty which Yaya Toure duly converted.

Juventus 1 vs Basel 1
Charlie Austin '7, Arturo Vidal '15(Carlos Tevez)
Basel and Juve drew 1-1 in which both sides seemed evenly matched. Charlie Austin put Basel ahead, half volleying a punch from the goalkeeper. But the lead did not last for long as Vidal equalised with a trademark long range effort.

United coasted to a 2-0 victory over Spurs. Substitute Hamsik gave United the lead with a dipping shot. Eto'o doubled the advantage with a tap-in.

Dortmund eased to a victory against an average Arsenal side. Dortmund grabbed the lead through Ibrahimovic's header. Julian Draxler doubled the lead with a long range rocket.

Madrid hung onto a draw against Chelsea, who dominated. Madrid found themselves trailing thanks to Suarez's outside of the boot effort. A slick passing move was finished by Pedro to level the score.

Atletico notched up a 2-0 victory over Valencia thanks to goals from Thiago and Griezmann. Valencia's failure to clear a Koke cross resulted in a goal from Thiago. A lovely Thiago through-ball found Griezmann, who made no mistake.

Porto 2 vs Zenit 3

Zenit defeated Porto in a very close game thanks to some Fernandao magic. Fernandao's goal gave Zenit the lead- a strong header. Fernandao scored another header to double Zenit's lead. Adrian Ramos pulled one back for Porto with a header of his own. Ramos and Isco combined once again to equalise. Fernandao completed his hattrick, with a curled effort from outside the box and put his team in the lead.

*- As it stands, Basel are above Real Madrid due to superior goal difference. In the same way, Dortmund are above Man City, who're above Valencia despite having the same number of points(21).

Leverkusen and Benfica fought a closely contested battle that ended 1-1. Enzo Perez could've put Benfica ahead with a penalty in the 22nd minute, but Cech saved it. Talisca redeemed Enzo Perez by scoring a header in the 75th minute. Lampard equalised for Leverkusen by doing what he's the best at- arriving late in the box and finishing with precision.
MOTM: Ryan Bertrand: The left back kept Gaitan and Alan quiet for large parts of the game and looked lively while attacking too. @ankurcshah

Barca triumphed 2-1 over Bayern in fortuitous circumstances. Barca gained the lead in bizarre circumstances, with Alaba's clearance hitting Boateng to result in an own goal.
