Bradley Scott? I guess we are struggling for pace bowlers in this country.
The teams look quite strong so we should see some good quality cricket (although I know nothing about the South Africans and Indians)
Will these games be televised?

Scott was in the T20 World Cup Squad that went to SA, he's one of the best Left Arm Pace bowlers in NZ

India's team looks pretty solid, thanks to selectors that they have got some good players in bowling.

There weren't last year, probably the best you will get is live scores.

Copeland can consider himself unlucky, picked Coulter-Nile a few years ago but would have had Copeland in the side over him atm.

I'm a bit disappointed that this tournament is so T20 based. Half the games T20? C'mon. It's not these games have been put on for the crowds. Surely it's for the development of the players. And I'm yet to be convinced that T20 cricket is a good training ground.

I like the Aussie squad a lot. Especially getting Ferguson back into cricket. Would also like to see Pomersbach do well along with the young quicks. Actually I see a lot of quicks, who is the spinner?

Might actually go up to some of these matches if I've got some spare time. It'll take me hour and a half each way, but if I can make a day of it then it won't be too bad.

I know, and that's exactly my point. I don't see him cracking the International side at 30 years of age, but the sad thing is there's no one else better than him for this NZ A spot. I'd prefer a young guy with potential to make the Black Caps in there instead. He's still one of my favourite players because he's from Otago though ;)

Didn't really look at the fixtures guess I assumed it would be OD and maybe FC. Agree with you regarding the T20 being pointless for this sort of tournament, 50 overs should be the bare minimum. I would say the main spinner will be Floros and Maxwell can bowl, both are more batting all rounders. Nathan Brain is listed as a leggie so he might be the main one but there is little info on him so no idea on him.

Some changes to the Indian team. Manish Pandey and Ashoke Dinda replace Saurabh Tiwary and Ravichandran Ashwin who were called up for the tri-series in Sri Lanka.

Indian team looks solid, although the bowling is fairly inexperienced, and there's no genuine all-rounder in the team as well.

I hate to sound like an incessant troll, but that's what I am, so; Jaskaran Singh? Where's Tiwary? Nayar better be injured, too.

+1

Heck, I'd love to see the one day games gone and have each team play each other in a three day game, I can't imagine that would be any harder to make a schedule for, you could easily fit it in inside two weeks.

Finally found some info on the warm up games.

NZA 184 for 9 (Jamie How 32 off 67, Luke Woodcock 40 off 49, Bradley Scott 23 off 28; J Hazelwood 2/9, M Sahib 2/22, N Brain 40/2, J Faulkner 22/2) lost to AIS 187 for 3(R Carters 76 of 86, L Pomersbach 30 off 15, B Dunk 45 off 45; Hamish Bennett 14/1, Brent Arnel 15/2)

New Zealand Cricket - AIS beat NZA in warm up match

Both our keepers did well, probably will end up playing one as a specialist. Nice to see Hazelwood going well and not bad by Faulkner. No idea what How was doing.

I saw that as well, How was probably trying to steady the ship after early wickets or something. But then again, he used to be criticised for batting slowly when he was in the ODI team.
