I am going to be describing England's Ashes tour of Australia and their chance to keep hold of the Ashes.

After England successfully regained the Ashes in 2005 it is time for the Australians to have a chance to retake them on home soil.

However the captain of the 2005 victorious England team Michael Vaughan will not be able to lead his side due top a horrific knee injury which could be the end of his cricketing career

Instead the reins of the captaincy will fall to Andrew Strauss as Marcus Trescothick will not be touring due to personal reasons.

Personal problems, much speculation

Will Andrew Strauss and his vice-captain Freddie Flintoff be able to retain English Pride or will the Aussies teach the poms in how to really play cricket?

Will it be Australian green and yellow celebrating led by the likes of Ricky Ponting, Brett Lee, Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath

Or will the English Lion be triumphant

Great start to this, good luck mate.
Sorry mate but Aussies are gonna do what they did in real life in this story:p

I'm not using '07 but '05 as I feel it has been modded perfectly for me at the moment, plus I'm short of cash at the moment (which is the real excuse)

Great start to the story :) Gud luck with this one! :cheers

The England team arrive in Australia with all eyes on Monty Panesar and Jason Lewry the two surprise inclusions in the squad. Geraint Jones has been left out over Matt Prior and Chris Read

Monty looks to be coping with the pressure very well

Here is the England squad

After just 24 hours the team are already training in preparation for the first match against the Chairman's XI

Thanks man :D

Four days after arriving in Melbourne, England arrive at Perth for their 50 Over Match with the Chairman's XI

Sky Sports have beaten Channel 7 and other competition to bring us live coverage of the Ashes tour

There are no surprises about the batting order however Prior has been given the nod over Read and Sidebottom makes his England debut

The Barmy Army although outnumbered are a lot more louder than their Australian counterparts

And here is the Chairman's XI

The pitch is pretty flat so there should not be too many problems for the batsmen out there. However it is a scorcher so there will be drinks called every 10 overs where we will take a quick analysis of what has happened

Will Monty shine, or will England fall at the first hurdle

Sidebottom seems to be a suprise inclusion. Also interesting that Prior got his chance ahead of Read... Lets see how England perform in this match

I think i might as well admit i did not mean to include Lewry. I meant to pick Jon Lewis but missed and didn't notice

Richard Sidebottom is a risk. Very big and so is Loye. I would have taken Jimmy Anderson and Sajid Mahmood.

Nice start, good luck
