The Toss

David Gower: Michael Atherton is there on the pitch with the two captains for the toss.

M.Atherton : Thank You David ......A.Strauss have the coin ...Jayawardena calls Tails ...and it came down as tails .....SriLanka have won the toss.?Well Mahela won the toss for the second time what will do first?

J'wardena: We will bat first .The pitch is good for batting and outfield is also fast and i dont think that we will have any problems batting first. We need to put a big total on the board and then our bowlers wont be under pressure .

M.Atherton : How many bowlers are you playing with and any changes for the 20-20 match ?

J'wardena: We are plaing with 5 bowlers and R.Perera is included in the side instead of F.Mahroof as this pitch has something for the left arm fast bowlers.So we got two left arm fast bowlers Vaas and Perera. Perera is a good bowler and bowled wonderfully againsta Australia recently.

M.Atherton : Well good luck for the match Mahela.

J'wardena: Thank You.

M.Atherton : Well Anderw disappointed by losing the toss 2nd time in a row?

A.Strauss: No not much ...we will have to fully utilize the moisture from the picth in the initial overs and we will have to keep the runs down and take early wickets .

M.Atherton :What about your team?

A.Strauss: We have made one change in the team J.Dalrymple comes in instead of Ed Joyce .He is good off spinner and has the ability to bat and rest of the team is the same .

M.Atherton :Good luck for the match Andrew

David Gower: Well the news from the center is that SriLanka have won the toss and elected to bat first.Lets take a look at the teams.

The Teams​

Both the teams have made one change in thier line up .Perera comes in the side instead of F.Mahroof and England have got a spinner J.Dalrymple instead of Ed Joyce.The teams are ready and are on the field .David Lloyd is with me here in the studio.Well David some quick word about the match.

David Lloyd: Well England should bowl really well in the start and get some early breakthroughs. Harmison should bowl well this time and S.Mahmood will be confident with his bowling as he bowled tightly in the 20-20 .SriLanka should get in a big total if they want to win this one as chasing will be difficult of this picth .
