South Africa vs Australia
1st ODI
1st 10 Overs​

Phillip Hughes and Simon Katich are going to open the batting for Australia and the South Africa will be using Monde Zondeki as the first bowler. Nice start by Zondeki giving 1 run in the first over. From the other end it will Dale Steyn bowling. Steyn is smashed a for a six in his first delivery. Steyn tries his best to keep the rest of the over as tight as possible and he was successful to do so. Zondeki bowls another good over as he gave 2 runs in the over. Steyn’s second over. Katich got his first run in the match in the form a single. Steyn trying his level best to keep the overs tight but he was unsuccessful as Hughes smashed Steyn for a four in second delivery of the over.

Zondeki’s third over…and for the first time in the match he is smashed for a four. The man to smash a four of the bowling of Zondeki is Phillip Hughes.

After 5 Overs-

Hughes is in good form as he smashed his third ‘four’ of the match whereas Katich has not yet smashed a single ‘four’ in the match. Till now Katich has taken three ‘singles’ and he has scored this 3 runs of 11 balls. Another good over by Zondeki , keeping it tight. This tight overs by Zondeki has increased the pressure on the two batsman at the crease. Steyn starts a new over, whole over was good. Katich tried to smash his first ‘four’ but he missed the ball completely. Zondeki continues from the other end , he is getting better and better every over as Hughes was safe from an lbw call in the first ball of the 9th over. Steyn to bowl the 10th over….two runs taken by Hughes in the second delivery and one run in the fifth delivery.


After 10 overs:-

A really slow start from the Australian opening batsman- Katich and Hughes. Hughes has been smashing some fours from the beginning of the match but Katich has not yet smashed a single four. The bowling has been really tight. Zondeki and Steyn has been doing really well in the first 10 overs of the game. After such a good performance with a ball both of them deserve some wickets. Can the Australian improve their run-rate? Can Katich score some runs or will he get out very soon due to high pressure building on him? Stay Tuned to find out…..
