DG: Well that was an interesting session,Adam, who do you think came out on top?

AH: Darren,I think England came out on top with those 3 wickets, Vermeulean was run out just as he was getting in form and if England bowl well in this next session they should get Zimbabwe out for less than 200.

Tea -Day 1

Zimbabwe 116/9
G Flower 31
Vemuleuan 24
Blignaut 20*
Hondo 7*
Flintoff 11-2-35-3
Harmison 21-6-48-2

AH: Well some fireworks in that session there some clever bowling and some brutal stuff.

DG: Yes Adam, one of my favorite arts the shorp-pitched or sometimes bouncer-length ball was used very effictively there and the catches were held and now England are in the driving seat and should take out a 1st innings lead of at least 100.

Stumps Day 1

Zimbabwe 116 all out
G Flower 31
Vemuleuan 24
Blignaut 20*

England 7/1
Vaughan 6*
Butcher 0*
Trescothick 0

DG: Well Adam,Anderson dismissed Hondo with the first ball after Tea and dismissed Zimbabwe but then England only had 3 overs so we only got 19 deliveries in this session.

AH: Yes Goughie, Anderson bowled a good delivery and Trescothick was unluckily run out. Vaughan looked to be leaving, defending and hitting well but will have to start again tomorrow.

DG: We'll see you tomorrow here at Lord's
