*I am aware that Sharjah is outside the Indian subcontinent. But I think its too good a ground not to have a match played on.

England squad for this tournament will be announced after the completion of the tour of Zimbabwe.

To cure the lineup problem, have you tried using the lineup editor?

Load in a saved game, and select the team you wish to edit - in this case England. This should come up with your current squad. From here, edit (best off doing both the 1-day sides or all 3 of the test sides if you are playing a 4/5 day game) your team putting the correct players in the correct order.
Then save the lineups. You will have to save each "side" change that you make. i.e. edit 1-day side 1 then save. Then edit 1-day side 2 and save again.

This has cured problems I have had before.

How do you load in a saved game? Lineup editor only asks for roster.pak

Thanks for the help anyways. I will try again to do as you have instructed.

From lineup editor, there is a "list box" at the bottom where it says "files of type:" that will display roster.pak. Click on the arrow to the right of this and it will drop down a menu so you can choose saved games as well.

Thanks m8!
That solves my problem, but I have confirmation that Sam's exe patch does NOT fix the opener bug. I removed Vaughan (in a friendly) from the side and batted second (after saving and reloading) and there he was in my side. I will the screenshots soon.

Also I have already started playing the 4th ODI at Chrischurch using for the first time tutsi's AI patch (version 4). Since I am batting first, I can tell ya one thing, that batting is a lot more easier in hard mode now.(what a relief!)

Sams exe does fix the lineup bug- even does it with created players for me

Yo Vaughanny,

Are you simulating matches for the Champions trophy? I can't believe that it's not in the game - absolutely shocking!!!!! I'm gonna start a thread to see if anyone can make a patch to modify knockout into champions trophy.

I will be playing individual ODIs. I will play all the games involving England, and autoplay the other games. So dont be surprised if Bangladesh beat India and Holland beat South Africa. (Though I will try my best to ensure that such things dont happen).

As far as the Champions Trophy nto being in the game is concerned, yeah I was amazed too, especially when they have included the Knockout tournament which does not exist anymore. But I think that sooner or later a patch will be out which will indeed modify the Knockout Tournie into the proper Champions Trophy one. Though I think by then my Champions Trophy Tournament will be over. (Or maybe I'll have the Natwest ODIs and the tests vs India and Australia [see fixtures list] held first).

Message to Brad and Sam

Hey Brad/Sam, my lineup bug has also been corrected by Sam's patch, but somehow the opener (at the striker;s end) still goes back to the default one.

This happens ONLY if you bat second, and save and reload the game in the 1st innings itself.

Also anyone faced the problem of not being able to resume a game? I did in the 3rd ODI.

Amazing game this is...New Zealand have bounced back!!....The series which I was hoping to win at Dunedin, will now be decided in the final ODI at North Wellington.

Series level at 2-2.

Im posting the news article below, and the complete match description with screens will also be put up soon.

The ECB today confirmed that the England team will tour Zimbabwe this year. The tour was expected to be called off after the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, had asked for the cancellation of the tour.

Note: This is with reference to my tour of Zimbabwe not their "actual" tour which is in October and which is also facing the same problems. I guess you must have figured that out by now.

NZ vs England : 4th ODI, Christchurch

fter a wet day at Dunedin, its bright sunshine here at Christchurch, and lets hope this
time the weather control centre has got it right this time, because the chances of rain today
is also zero.

At Dunedin, NZ bouced back and ripped through the England middle order to leave them in
an terrible situation. Due to rain, the match was called of with 28 overs yet to completed,
and according to the D/L method, NZ had won the match by 6 runs.

So lets see how it all stands going into this crucial 4th One Dayer at Christchurch.

The Pitch: Normal (May deteriorate as the match goes on, hence chasing might be difficult)
Jim Maxwell recommends to bat first.
