Nasser was a good batsman, but one of our greatest captains.

Nobody has mentioned Pieterson. :O Used to come in at number 9 in SA domestic cricket.

Sorry but I rate Hoggard as one of the most useless batsman ever. He even gets out when being a nightwatchman!

Freddie started off a slogger who bowled a bit of medium-fast, but is now a genuinely quick bowler who could get in the team if he scored nothing with the bat. His batting is much more mature aswell.

I know, I was struggling to think of my own example!

It might be early to say this, but Shoaib Akhtar is evolving into a very good defensive batsman. His 45 against India in the third match was very helpful when the top order failed.

Ashley Giles used to be a Seamer and he has since develeoped into a great spin bowler. :p

And he's even become a quite handy batsmen.

What are you reffering to?

If it's the Seamer thing, then I recall him mentioning it in the commentary box for Sky on a county game earlier in the year.

I know he used to be a seam bowler, but when did he ever become a great spinner or a handy batsman?

Brett lee, a very good pace bowler who is now turning into a very capable all-rounder and scores quick usefull runs down the order.

Oh, that was tongue-in-cheek. Hence the use of this :p.

Anil Kumble - medium pace to leg spin.

Craig White used to be an off spinner, but turned into a medium pace allrounder
